Luvaine Pride || Male || 23 || Call in the Cavalier (Chant) || Mentions: Open Luvaine shifted a little bit at the gate, tucking himself further into his light jacket as another soft breeze hit. A few cars had started coming in and decided to take the respective paths to the barns where their horses would be kept instead of dropping off by the gate, and keeping a headcount he could count four had arrived of the alleged 8 riders that confirmed their invitation. He sighed, hoping they were doing fine getting where they needed to go and shifted his weight so he could lean a little against the wall that surrounded the huge area of land. He was excited to meet the new students, but he also had a little bit of underlying anxiety. Things could go wrong, like injuries or fights, even missing horses if it was truly a bad day. People could think less of him because he was a Stablehand or he wary to ask him for any kind of help. Its okay though. Luvaine had to reassure himself, his job was to help them if they needed it while sticking to his own jobs and tasks. In the distance, he could hear the neigh of one of the horses, probably one of the new ones. He smiled a little bit, wondering what they were trying to say. The new horses would be fun to meet too, it had been a while since Luvaine had seen so many new horses come in to the stables. It was fun to learn about them, but also a slight pain to truly get to know them. Sometimes horses were brats, while others well behaved, or even just lazy. Chant was a high energy sweetheart, but he loved him anyways. He probably would have to take him out today, else he wrecks havoc in some way, shape, or form.

Isabella Adelle Jackson - Female - 17 - Taken Satan's Kiss (Tucker) - Mentions: Wisteria, Luvaine "Oh yeah, cabin C in over there behind the other two," Adelle said with the smile still plastered on her face. Though, she sweetly pointed, only because if she didn't Luvaine would somehow find out. For some reason, every time Adelle snarked at a rider, forgot to point, or even made a snarky face, Luvaine found out. Once she knew that Wisteria knew which way she was going, Adelle went back to barn A. Once she got there, she heard a familiar neigh and looked around making sure that Luvaine wasn't around. When Adelle knew that he was nowhere to be seen, she went inside stall 27. The appaloosa stallion seemed a little crazy today with all the new horses. I mean, he was always a little crazy, but today, he was hopping up and down, doing mini rears, and basically anything he could get away with. The stocky appy stopped what he was doing immediately when he noticed that Adelle had entered. He knew that she would get made at him for his tantrum. Instead, he came up to her and nosed her pockets looking for treats.

Cade |:| 17 |:| Male |:| Jazz Town (Jazz/Jazzy) |:| M : Drake - Cade decided to go inside and sit down on the couch. He wasn't feeling like interacting with anymore so he said bye to Drake. "Im going to go inside. See you later." Once he said goodbye he walked inside and sat down on one of the couches. He pulled out his phone and began to play some games, to take his mind off things. He could hear cars pulling in, horses neighing, cabin doors opening and people talking. He shifted his weight and kept playing his game. He was excited to ride Jazz in a new place, and at all since he hadn't owned him for long. It would be interesting to see how he did away from the barn Cade bought him from. He really should have asked Drake what dicipline he was going to have to learn. As long as Jazz liked it, it should be okay. Jazz was a spooky horse though which worried Cade a little bit. What if it was western? Cade and Jazz would have to get used to a completly different saddle and way of riding. Not to mention it could be somthing with cows which would mean Jazz would have to not be scared of cows despite never seeing them in his life. Cade tried to shake these thoughts and just focus on his game.

Wisteria Lee || 17 || Female || Take a Little Chance(Chance) || M: Adelle
Direction acquired, Wisteria headed to her cabin. Opening the door she looked around. The place seemed so empty, not that there wasn't furniture, but there wasn't any personality to the place. I guess that makes sense. Even if people had lived there before, they would have taken all their stuff with them when they left. She took her suitcase and quickly unpacked putting her clothes in the closet on the left side of the room. She also put her old beat-up laptop on the desk on what she had claimed as her side of the room. Finally, she grabbed a beat-up picture frame from the bottom of her suitcase and set it on her nightstand facing the bed. "Miss you Mom, miss you Dad. I wish you could see where Chance and I are now." The quiet words were half whisper half mouthed and she fiddled with the picture of her parents one last time before making her way to the door. She needed to give her horse a hug. She made her way to the closest barn and slipped inside looking for the familiar bay head. She heard a friendly whinny from her left and saw her best, and only friend poking his head over the stall door. "I missed you bud." She made her way over and saw that he must have been groomed recently cause he was not covered in dust and mud. "I wish I could stay, but I think I am required to socialize." Chance gave her a little head but as if to say 'Well then, get on with it' and she gave him one last scritch before she slipped out the door and headed to the main house and whatever awaited her there.

Cade |:| 17 |:| Male |:| Jazz Town (Jazz/Jazzy) |:| M : Wisteria - Cade heard footsteps heading to the main house. He looked out the window and saw a girl with brown hair and brown eyes. She had a slightly nervous look about her. Cade's phone lay forgotten on the couch as he looked at the girl. He throught that maybe she was headed to a barn or cabin and just passing the main house but as she got closer her intentions became clear; she was going to enter the main house. This made Cade slightly anxious and he began to look around for things to make him seem busy. He could always go to the bathroom and hide out in there but he decided to just scroll through the news on his phone to seem busy. He was deep down excited for the chance to meet new people and become a better rider but he was also increadably anxious. He kept scrolling through the news pretending to be interested in some articals. There were a couple Cade clicked on and began to read. He found reading helped him calm down so he read random articals and waited for the girl to enter the main house. Edited at August 13, 2023 05:13 PM by Dusk acres

Drake Vaughan | 18 | Male | Weezy Outta Here (Wayne) - Drake watched Cade walk inside, and grabbed his airpods from his pocket. He knew they wouldn't last long, as they had only be on the charger for half an hour, but he put them in anyway. Drake tan is hand through his black hair, looking around at the facility's layout. Three barns, nine cabins, all situated in a triangle around the main house. Drake scrolled through his Spotify playlists, finding a country one. A little Morgan Wallen never killed nobody, he thought to himself, but the buzz cut sure will. He walking into the main house, his hands in his shorts pockets, finding an empty couch. He sat down and opened up his phone, looking at some hockey scores, wishing preseason would be over. Drake looked through his texts, letting his parents know he had settled in safely. Having done everything else he could do to pass the time, Drake opened up his Snapchat, probably looking quite odd with all the angles of photos he was sending. He didn't care what the others inside thought, he may be quiet but he had plenty of self confidence. Drake reclined on the comfy sofa, hoping the announcements or meeting or whatever it was would be starting very soon.

Wisteria Lee || 17 || Female || Take a Little Chance(Chance) || M: Cade, Drake Wisteria entered the main house and plopped down on an empty couch. Looking around she saw one boy sitting on one of the other couches, dutifully scrolling through his phone. She sat back and shortly after, she saw another boy walk in. He also looked like he could care less about talking to people. What is it with this place and people who don't want to socialize? Maybe we all just want to be with our horses. She sat there wishing she had brought her phone, at least then she would have something to do. Hope someone with authority shows up soon so we can get the orientation stuff over with. Looking around she saw that there was now someone on each of the three couches She also saw a few armchairs and even a beanbag sitting on the floor. If someone else shows up, they will have to make an active choice whether or not to be social. To pass the time, Wistira started drawing the reigning patterns she knew on her leg. She hoped someone would show up to break the silence. Socializing was bad but this silence was worse.

Mist Chandler || 16 || Female || Angle's Dance (Angle) || M: Cade, Drake, Wisteria Mist got in the cabin and sighed. She really didn't have the energy to unpack and she probably should be heading to the main house. She threw her suitcase on the right side bed and went to the main house. When she arrived she saw that all the couches already had someone on them, so she plopped down on the beanbag and started to people watch. By the window, she saw a blond boy scrolling through his phone. He looked like he wanted to disappear before anyone talked to him. On the other side of the room, she saw a brown-haired girl in jeans and a sweater, all covered in dust. She seemed to be tracing something on her leg but from where she was Mist could not tell what. The last person was a guy with black hair. He seemed absorbed with his phone as well. She hated awkward silences, but she hated breaking them more She hoped that someone in charge would show up soon. Shouldn't we get a welcome speech soon? Until then she closed her eyes and imagined the series of cues that she used for her most recent dressage test.

Peter Nevernight || Male || 37 || At the Firelight (Desti) || Mentions: Everyone Peter shifted from where he was chilling momentarily inside of his office, waiting a little bit before making his entrance into the dining space of the main house. Hopefully Luvaine and Adelle directed everyone towards the right location and didn't come for his head the next day when things started to calm down. After announcements of greeting to everyone he would have to call Cindy and ask for her to check on Desti, then he would see where he was needed for the rest of the evening. He stretched, then finally stood from his chair and made his way out of his office into where hopefully some people were waiting. Peter had gotten notice that there was some very heavy traffic, so some might not be here until later today or even a few days from now. He might have to swap some pairs around, but it would be unfair to keep the peoplr here waiting for so long. Swiftly, he made his way into the common room and stood int he middle of the room, waving politely to the people who noticed him when he had arrived before clearing his throat to hopefully catch everyone else's attention. "Welcome everyone! I'm Peter Nevernight, the owner of Mallow Grove, and I'm very thrilled you all managed to make it today. I apologize for the long wait. I'm going to go over a few of the rules and expectations over here, then the rest of the day is yours! I'll answer any questions once I'm done. First of all, we expect that you are able to keep professional here. Quarrels against someone or issues should be brought up to me, and that also goes with any concerns or problems you may have. We have an amazing vet that is working with us to ensure your horses will be healthy and hopefully accident free, and our stablehands Luvaine Pride and Adelle Jackson are here to help you. We have lights out at 10 PM, and will be serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner to all of you throughout the course of this program. Arenas are open to all of you as soon as 9 AM and are shared spaces meant for everyone. That means you shouldn't hog one space all to yourself, but that also doesn't mean you can disrespect someone else's time." He paused for a moment, letting his words sink in before continuing, making sure to not rush his speech or blur any words together. "We are aware people have different schedules and preferences, so we are leaving it up to you and your partner to schedule times when to work together. Make sure You're setting your partner up for success. This, however, that doesn't mean you can't hang out with some of the other people or even do some practice in your own field. At the end of our six month period, March 15th, we will be hosting a competition to evaluate everyone's growth, and to just have a little bit of fun. I hope you all enjoy the experiences offered, and make the most of your time here." Peter paused again, looking at everyone in the gathered room with a slight smile and relaxed posture. Finally, he took a slight breath. "I hope I didn't go too fast or bore anyone, that'll be the end of my long speech. Any questions?"

Cade |:| 17 |:| Male |:| Jazz Town (Jazz/Jazzy) |:| M : Everyone - As the the owner, Peter walked into the building Cade put his phone away. He glanced at the other people in the room. There was Drake and a couple others. Cade didn't know anyone elses name so he just stared at them. Pretty soon the man who walked in earlier started talking. His name was Peter and he owned Mallow Grove. Peter started going over the rules which seemed fair. Be professional, share spaces, lights out at 10, be respectful. All normals rules. He and Drake would have to schedule times to train together. Cade didn't mind that. He wasn't by any means comfterable with Drake but he was more comfterable with him than anyone else. They had 6 months to learn each others dicipline which seemed long but since Jazz was a younger horse Cade worried 6 months wasn't long enough. Soon Peter was done with his speech and asked if there were any questions. Cade didn't have any questions and it seemed that no one else did either. Cade wasn't really sure what to do other than sit uncomfortablly in the scilence.
