Anastasia Greyson (Anne) | Female | 26yrs | Rider | M: Taz, Keelan, Open . Anne enjoyed the slow pace ride although she was uncomfortable seeing how spooky Taz was being, "it's gonna be alright nothings gonna get you" She chuckled to herself. Looking ahead she spotted the gate into the meadow that Keelan was standing at, Nudging Taz along she breathed a sigh of relief when he walked through it instead of halting like she thought he might. But shortly after getting through the gate Taz broke out into a canter with a few bucks, "Taz!?" She shouted grabbing a tighter hold on the reins and pulling back more to slow him down. Once she slowed him down enough she quickly dismounted a bit out of breath, "Don't do that again.." She huffed. Pulling the reins over his head she held them tight, "Shall we give the trail a try again minus the bucking?" She asked the stallion before mounting again. . Tazzy Land (Taz) | Stallion | 5yrs | SJ | M: Anne, Gate, Open . Snorting Taz eyed the gate after his little fit but focused on Anne again, They walked around a little which did calm his nerves a tad. The stallion was sure that gate was going to get his hind end you just never know bolting seemed like the safe idea to him. He'd only seen a couple gates before but he never really liked them just the swinging motion they did, Ears swiveling around Taz listened to the others. . Reinas Chamber (Reina) | Mare | 14yrs | SJ | M: Etria, Open . Ears pricking forward again as Reina heard a reply, She finally spotted a dapple gray mare in her stall left behind much like herself. She nickered back in her high pitch Pony tone, She wasn't an escape artist so there wasn't much else the mare could do but call from afar hoping she'd get some pasture time soon staying in her stall was making her restless.

Heather Storm | 22yrs old | Eventing Rider | Bronze Buckaroo "Eclipse" and The Lovely Marisol "Etria" | M: Everyone that's on the Camp out trip. Heather gently patted the stallion's neck one last time before sitting herself back up into the saddle, keeping the reins gathered in her hands. The woman felt quite unknowledgeable about how to properly handle a stud like Eclipse since he's her first horse of course but...she wasn't sure if she was doing anything right for him, debating if she should either allow the stud to keep his stallionhood or schedule a vet appointment to geld him. The brunette let out a sigh, pushing the questions in the back of her mind to hopefully forget about it. The woman would be sitting the trot when she tapped her heels into the equine's sides to speed him up a bit which he responds nicely so far. The brunette brought her stallion to a halt, keeping a bit of distance between them and the group incase Eclipse decides to act all excitable in a very studly manner but so far, Eclipse stood there very quietly to obverse their new surroundings which Heather decided to loosen up on the reins to give her companion a bit more freedom. Eclipse would move his feet in response to this as he lowers his head, taking a few nibbles on the green grass before she watched him raise his head again. Heather would have looked away for only a second before she felt the equine starting to bow up underneath her, her green gaze refocused on the stud again before quickly regathering the reins into her hands again to hold Eclipse back a bit without being heavy handed on the bit in his mouth, mentally telling herself to not pull back on the reins or anything so she doesn't confuse the hell out of him but the young woman would be doing her best in keeping his feet moving while stirring him in kinda a circle like to hopefully calm the stud back down again. Eclipse | Bronze Buckaroo | Dutch Warmblold (KWPN) | Stallion | 7yrs old | Eventing | M: Heather, other people and equines. Eclipse had seemed to calm down from the ordeal back when they were passing the pastures. He changed his gait from a walk to a medium trot, carrying his head in a natural position while his ears swirled, listening to his rider for the most part while listening to everything else. Once into the clearing, the stallion slowed down to a halt by his rider. He looks around curiously, flaring his nostrils with his ears perked forward in both curiosity and interest of the new area. The young stud would notice some of the other equines, he started to bow up as Eclipse gets quite excited, anxiously moving his feet as he starts to show off. He tossed his head up a bit when he felt some tension in the reins when his rider gathered them to have close contact in order to control his head. His ears go back while his tail quickly becomes quite active, flaring his nostrils as he was moved around into a kinda circle, prancing a bit here and there before being brought back down to a normal walk. Starting to become a bit agitated with his owner from being held back from he's wants to do by instinct as his tail continues to swish in an agitated manner. Etria | The Lovely Marisol | Andalusian | Mare | 4yrs old | Eventing | M: Reina. Etria respond back to Reina with a high pitch tone of her nicker of her own. The young mare stretched her neck out towards the other mare, attempting to touch noses to get to know the other equine a bit better. Her nostrils flared a bit before she let out a loud snort, letting the air escape her muzzle as she pulls her head back. She would take notice that the other mare is quite older than her. Etria's blue eyes watched Reina in pure curiosity, she tossed her head a bit in a playful gesture, her ears swirled back and forth, listening for any of the stablehands to come get the horses that were left behind for the trail to be let out into the pasture so the dapple grey will be able to stretch her legs. Skye Lovato | 21 yrs | Female | Eventing Rider | M: Open She was currently debating what to do. She knew that Nickel wanted to run, but wasn't sure if he would behave differently with the other horses around. He already seemed more excitable than normal, seeing as he was in a new place, with new people, and new horses. Thatw as enough to make any horse act differently. But she decided to let him canter. She gently nudges him forward into a trot and then a canter on his left lead. They went in a large circle and then Nickel wanted to be playful, this was like his field after all. Horses, grass, no jumps. He let out a nicker and then bucked. He started cantering around, practically ignoring Skye who was still on his back trying to slow him down with almost no effect on the big boy. But he slides to a halt and looks around, realizing none of the other horses wanted to play right now. Skye gave him a pat and muttered "Silly boy, you can play another time." She looked at the other riders in the group, wondering if they saw Nickel's little moment and hoping they didn't think she couldn't control her horse. She totally can, she just didn't expect that from Nickel. Prada is a whole different story and there is a reason she chose to bring Nickel not Prada. And why devil is part of Prada's registered name.

Aster Kalfling| eventing student | 'Trigger Happy ' | All , Open - The trail was already beautiful, though they hadn't even gone that far.Aster underestimated how stunning Staghaven was.Every time they came past a broken log, Trig would try jumping it, and snorted loudly when he wasn't allowed. "i'm sorry he isn't usually like this" Aster explained, speaking slightly louder so the people around him could hear the apology. Keelan told everyone that we could race if we wanted, but he was unsure of what to do.Whilst trig certainly needed to expend some energy, he might realise a little too much. Aster was very worried that he'd buck or bite at other horse, and wasn't sure of the risk "What do you think boy? do want to run for a bit?" Trig tried to speed up just at the word, so that seemed to be a clear answer. Aster sighed jokingly, and turned to Alila "you coming?"

Callum Santiago | SJ Instructor | Ty | M: Callum kept his spot in the back of the line, but allowed Bean to do some big sweeping trot circles behind the group, he didn't really want to tire his horse out. Callum thought about using this time to introduce himself to some of the other instructors or students but decided to wait until they reached the camp. Ajaya Sharma | Rider | Kodi | M: Ajay felt Kodi jigging under her a bit, she waited for another second till the whole group was in the field. Then she pushed with her right leg and moved Kodi away from the group. Ajay didn't want to startle any of the horses. She trotted Kodi in a circle to set him up and then let him canter around. She pushed her horse into a gallop, letting Kodi stech his neck out. She looped around the field for a few minutes before bringing him back to a trot then a walk staying out of the line, but with the group.

Alila Moore - Smoke signals (sig) M-Aster, open. ---------- Alila chuckled at Trig wanting to jump the logs. Sig was just as keen she could tell, but he didnt really express it as much as Triggy did. Alila quickly considered Aster's offer to race. "Hell yeah!" she said. It had been a good long while since she and Sig had really ran properly. "Ready?" She said, before taking up the reins, squeezing her calves and clicking her tongue. Sig immediately knew what to do, springing forward in an almost uncontrollable frenzy of a gallop. It took a few seconds but Ali soon managed to get him under control, and soon she and Aster were galloping side by side, the wind flying past them and making Alila tear up. Soon she saw a small log coming up and considered her options. It was only little and the ground was secure and flat. "I'm jumping it!" SHe yelled to Aster, but she wasnt sure if the wind had taken her words. Besides, there was a ton of room at the side if aster needed to have more space for Trig. So Ali slowed Sig down to a fast-paced canter a few paces from the jump, and before she knew it they were in the air, landing with ease. She looked ahead to see where Aster was, and because she had stopped to canter he was a few paces ahead. Ali didn't even need to do anything, as Sig saw Trigger in front of them and soon picked up to a faster pace. When the two reached the end of the track, she was breathless and happy, her cheeks tear-stained. "So." she said inquisitively. "who won?"

Juliet Thatcher | 26 F | Working Student/Rider Location: Back of the Group; Field| Tags: Keelan, Callum - Open The trail was fairly straightforward up to the meadow. Once they were far enough from the facility, the path meandered through a gorgeous section of forest. The Stagehaven crew had gone out previously to clear the large debris from the trail - and Juliet had enjoyed hacking out in the forest with Peregrine. The horses definitely knew something was up - there was some jigging and shying and just general fussing going on as they walked along. Peregrine was doing his best to show off his high class skills - prancing in place and sticking his nose into everyone's business. She kept to the back by the trainer riding drag - it was an easy enough position and she would help if anyone needed it. Occasional shouts of "Rock", "Branch", or "Hill" was called out and passed down the trail line to alert those about coming objects of caution; Juliet did her part to warn the riders behind her as well as prepare her mount to navigate them. Excitement coursed through the eager bay gelding - Juliet felt him practically vibrating through her seat, legs, and hands. Her hands were light but holding steady contact with thoroughbred's mouth, occasionally checking him with a slight rein kneed when his steps got choppier, and his ears perked at something to spook at. She shifted her weight to steady his pace and remind him that they were together - but she could still feel him building up in a coil. A last turn around a bend and she saw the open meadow and Keelan standing by the open gate. She smiled to him as they went by and thanked him for grabbing the gate. Juliet hung to the side for a few moments, although Peregrine was practically piaffing. "Anything I can help you with?" She called to the farm owner, as well as to the trainer that had been behind her - was it Caleb or Carl, there were a few C-A-L names, and being bad at names and faces, just her luck to mishear. ⚝ Understanding that this was their "free time", Juliet was going to try and use the space to her advantage. It wouldn't be a good idea to use up all Peregrine's energy because they still had a few hours of riding to do - but he was going to use up all of her strength trying to hold him back. Her abs already hurt from near constant half-halts and controlled breathing. On the trail her mind had wandered to the delightful rides she'd been on as a youth with old cobs who would plod along down any trail at their slow speed no matter how much excitement their rider tried communicating to them. Oh what it would be like to sit back and relax. Lightening her seat and barely adding pressure with her right left calf to the bay's side, Juliet encouraged her mount to pick up a trot. When she distanced herself some from the walking crowd as well as those that were having a bucking fit, a slight shift with her pelvis and leg shift by the girth, Peregrine lifted into a canter. With seeming ease his speed increased as he ate up the ground. Not according to plan, the working student thought, as she worked to settle his rhythm. She wanted to work him out by going low and slow. She also had to be honest with herself - this was exhilarating! Juliet admired her boy's speed and ability! They rarely got to move up to a good hand gallop while training in the arena or in the cross country field. They were always focusing on flatwork, technique, and getting the jumping right. But this! This was a rush. Nothing but earth in front of them and horsepower beneath her.

Keelan O'Brien | Owner/Dressage Trainer | M: All The man couldn't help the growing grin. His grandfather would be proud to see the adventurous group of riders this year, all overflowing with unspoken potential and already developing skill. Many, or as he hoped all, could make it to a world level. He nudges his horse and the mule along, watching the smiles and pure joy that this brought. This is was a good choice. The stud prances, but settles with a calming coo from Keelan. The laughter and ring of happy voices fills the air of the pasture, and his heart swells with pride. The call from Juliet catches him and he waves her off to have some fun with the others. Besides, she was as much an equal member of the team as much as them. Anastasia Greyson (Anne) | Female | 26yrs | Rider | M: Taz, Open . Clucking and nudging Taz on they followed the trail at slow pace, She couldn't feel as much energy in Taz as before which was some sort of a relief. Relaxing a little in her seat taking the time to actually enjoy the ride Anne glanced over at the few others galloping around before keeping her eyes set in front of them to guide Taz around any tripping hazards, One hand holding the reins Anne pat Taz's neck that she could reach without leaning forward praising him for not turning into a speed demon like a few of the others. . Tazzy Land (Taz) | Stallion | 5yrs | SJ | M: Anne, Peregrine, Open . Flicking his grey tail at his sides Taz could feel a couple bugs coming to bother him, Continuing at a relaxed walk Taz was pleased they were putting distance between them and the dreaded gate from before. Lifting his head slightly with his ears pricked forward Taz watched as a horse was cantering by so he nickered to them picking up his pace a bit wanting to follow, Going into a trot it didn't seem like Anne was holding him back so he happily trot along watching the others. . Reinas Chamber (Reina) | Mare | 14yrs | SJ | M: Etria, Open . Reina squealed and stomped her hoof wanting out, It'd been a while since the mare had pasture time and she had a fair bit of pent up energy and a sure lot of fat she could do with burning. Ears back the mare kept her head outside the stable and watched as Etria stretched to touch noses, Flaring her nostrils Reina tried sniffing the other mare as her ears flicked forward again. Heather Storm | 22yrs old | Eventing Rider | Bronze Buckaroo "Eclipse" and The Lovely Marisol "Etria" | M: Camping out trail with the group, Eclipse, Open for Interaction. Heather brings her stallion to a halt, feeling her equine finally relax beneath her which brought some relief to the brunette. Her green eyes looked over to where the other riders and equines are, hoping that no one has seen what happened a bit ago. The brunette rides Eclipse around at a walk, hoping to keep her stud mellowed out for the rest of the trail. Heather decided to let her equine have free rein as she mentally reminds herself to just relax and enjoy the moment. The brunette curiously watched the group as her green eyes observed every rider and trainer with their own equines. She felt the stallion before he lowered his head, beginning to calmly graze as she took her eyes off the group to look up at the sky, watching the clouds slowly roll on by. Eclipse | Bronze Buckaroo | Dutch Warmblood | Stallion | 7yrs old | Eventing | Owner: Heather Storm | M: Heather, Open for Interaction. Eclipse was quite mellowed out now after the little ordeal, the stallion started walking around when he felt the reins slack as he was given free rein to do whatever. Perking his ears forward in interest of everything in front or around them. The stud brought himself to a halt, lowering his head as he starts grazing on the green grass, flicking his tail at his sides as he took one step forward, obviously enjoying his time with his rider. He stomps his right back hoof at the ground a bit, kicking at his belly as a pesky fly was being to pester him. Letting out a loud snort from his nostrils, having his ears in a relaxed position as his muscles twitched a bit each time a fly tried to land on him. Etria | The Lovely Marisol | Andalusian | Mare | 4yrs old | Eventing | Owner: Heather Storm | M: Reina, Open for Interaction. Etria stretched her neck out more, trying her best to reach the other equine to touch noses with to get to know the older mare a bit better since she's naturally curious. The lights of the barn faintly shine on her dapple grey coat, she swished her tail at her sides before the young mare kicked at her stomach with her back left hoof from a fly starting to annoy Etria. The Andalusian mare softly snorted in defeat as she pulls her head back, giving a few steps with her front right hoof as the dapple grey was starting to grow quite impatient, wanting out of her stall.
