Sebastian Von Landvik |19| Wanderlust | Tobias, OPEN. For the most part of the journey, Sebastian had been made to put up with his younger brother’s pointless excitement, through a course of music – of poor taste, movies – of no significant importance, as well as general conversation. A nod here, a shake there – a general sound that seemed to corroborate some fact was enough input for Tobias. Indeed, there were times where he appreciated his brother’s presence. But on a long, twelve hour flight and a seemingly never-ending drive – he just wasn’t cutting it. Fortunately, Tobias had nodded off at some point during the drive, leaving the car in a pleasant silence for the last ten or so minutes. The youth admired the pleasant scenery; the sun was filtering through the branches, leaving delicate dapples across the tarmac, and the gentle breeze really seemed to elevate the experience of the countryside. Already, he could spot the rise of buildings that notated the location of Pinehill, and he edged the car into a drive that would lead to the destination. Perhaps, a year or two here might be rather interesting. The large Jaguar purred as the engine was cut off, leaving the two brothers in a little void that separated them from the hubbub outside. Sharp blue eyes scanned over his blond counterpart and a firm prod followed. It was enough to get Tobias awake and out of the car in an instant. Sebastian waited out for a little while in the car, watching the other riders. There was many that were around his age – a brunette in the distance, a rather large number of girls with coloured hair and a male who seemed to be someone worth avoiding entirely. Actually, most of these people looked like they had their own drama backpack worth avoiding at all costs. It took him more time than he expected, to get through the scores of people, so that by the time he unloaded his own mare, Tobias and his massive bay had disappeared. His own black mare had been patiently awaiting him, and upon his appearance, she greeted him fondly. She was one of the few things he cherished at any length, and she was fully aware of it. At first, she was very much curious and excited, and she seemed to draw her rider closer to the crowd. She hesitated at the fringe, watching Sebastian’s frowning face keenly. He was far from interested in being held up in conversation with anybody, so he drew her back to let the crowd disperse away.

Tobias Von Landvik | 16 | Sehnsucht | Sebastian, Elijah. Having exited the vehicle first, Tobias took the moment to savour the view and the ambiance of the location. A good crowd of youth, of all ages and variations, were present, tending to an equally impressive range of equines. From the outset, there were the traditional breeds – looming thoroughbreds and warmbloods, but also the more unusual combinations that he could only hazard wild guesses at. In the most pleasant way possible, he was buzzing with energy and motivation. Releasing the latch on the trailer, he let the pair of equines get a wide view of the situation outside. Knowing that Sebastian would not have intended to come out so soon, he briefly stroked the mare’s forehead before unloading his own ride. From the moment that the bay thundered down the ramp, Tobias kept a vice-like grip on the leash, aware that the stallion often got side-tracked in new settings. A few bribes and alternative distractions were key to correcting it, although, the young age of the bay meant that little else was to be expected. Knowing that beginning the settling process sooner would be better, he left no time in heading to the stables. Already, the large bay had forgotten about his hyperactive energy and happily began to interact with the roan in the next stall. Not one to miss an opportunity, Tobias took advantage of their interaction to acquaint himself with the owner. “Hey, pleasure to meet you. The name’s Tobias – call me Toby. You?” the blond began, at absolute ease, and without hesitation. The subject in question was slightly taller than him, with dark hair, and a nonchalant expression on his face. If it were not for the fact that there was an age limit on the riders, Tobias would have placed him as being no younger than at least 25. As it was, the man was probably already heading into his twenties.

Rowan Bates | 16 | Birds of a Feather "Goose"| M: Open (Rowan uses he/they pronouns btw!) A whinny echoed from an old stock-style trailer being pulled by an old pickup truck pulling into the driveway of Pinehill Farms. A large bang came from the trailer followed by another hollar. Rowan parked the truck, unphased by his screaming steed. Cutting the engine they got out of the vehicle quickly. They rounded the side of the trailer talking to Goose inside. "Now now, I know its a long haul but there's no need to yell about it." They said flatly, Goose snorted and pawed in reply. The trailer screeched as Rowan began to open the door, it was an old rusty thing. Definitely not as nice as some of the trailers owned by other students, but they'd make due with what they had. The door swung open and Goose whinnied again. He could probably smell the other horses. Rowan hopped in the trailer, muttering to their horse. "You've been here before, its no big deal." They said giving him a stroke on the nose before untieing him and leading him out of the trailer. Goose's whole personality changed as soon as they hit the ground. The two stepped onto the gravel and Goose visibly relaxed. Rowan gave a sigh of relief, no screaming on the way to the barn he thought. Rowan closed up the trailer and truck as Goose collected himself. After he shut the trailer they began to walk together to the stables. Rowan spotted the other students and their horses, their heart dropped. Rowan typically kept to himself, he was very anxious and being nonbinary and loosing a horse your freshman year doesn't exactly make you the most likeable person at school. This was only Goose's second year, Rowan's third. His freshman year horse had an accident, and some students never let it go. They decided to take the long way around, Goose's stall was near the end anyway. Rowan got Goose all settled in, tied him to the interior of the stall and dug out his grooming bag from their tack box and began grooming him. The stall was open so they could watch the other students and possibly make some new friends. Rowan peeked down the barn alley and spotted some students chatting, he returned to grooming Goose. All was quiet, until Goose finally noticed his new neighbors and whinnied and began dancing around. Rowan sighed and continued trying to calm him. Edited at April 20, 2022 10:59 AM by Skyborn Stables

Elena Trempe | 11th Grade | Koko | M: Ariving Students & Horses, Rowan, Open Elena let out a sigh, and let her head fall back against the stall wall as the sounds in the isle behind her increased. The sound of hooves against the concrete floor echoed down the isle along with the sounds of human voices talking to one another and their horses. Elena rubbed their hands across their face before standing up, haltering Koko and leading him out of his stall to tie him in the isle. She grabbed his brushes and started grooming him. After she put her brushes away she went to grab her lunging and jump tack. She quickly tacked him up and led him out of the stables through the back. As she was heading out the back of the barn she saw someone lead another very handsom paint into a stall. He decided to stop quickly and say hello, "Hey, who knows maybe our horses could become friends, plus I could use some as well." He thought. "Hello! I am Elena, you can call me Ze or Len." They said cheerfully. "And this is Koko", they said, patting the nose of the gelding who had decided his head was too heavy to hold and their shoulder seemed like the perfect hight for a place to rest it.

Rowan Bates | 16 | Birds of a Feather "Goose"| M: Elena, Open Rowan jumped a little at the sudden interaction. But on the bright side, Goose stopped to stare at the new arrivals and stopped dancing around. Goose snorted, the whites of his eyes showing. Nothing new. "Hey! I'm Rowan." He greeted with a small wave. "And this is Goose." He nudged the pinto gelding, who was now watching Elena and Koko intently. "I don't really talk to anyone, what year are you?" They asked, picking up the brush Goose knocked from their hand and continuing to brush the mud off of the horse, but with his head turned to still talk to the pair. "Goose and I kinda keep to ourselves, so sorry if you've seen me around and I don't recognize you." He said, a little embaressed, pausing for a moment. Goose began to relax once more and turned his head around to nudge his rider gently on their curly red hair. Edited at April 22, 2022 11:09 AM by Skyborn Stables

Elena Trempe | 11th Grade | Koko | M: Rowan, Open "Hi Rowan, nice to meet you and Goose. He looks like a sweetheart." They said, reaching back to pet Kokos face. "I am in 11th Grade, what about you?" They asked, before continuing on by saying: "Hey it is okay. I do the same thing. I am not really that social and might not notice people sometimes. But I felt like you had a good energy and since this is my first year here, I thought I should introduce myself to someone. You were the first person I encountered." He said, shrugging. After hearing Rowans reply, they let them know that they were heading to the outdoor ring to lunge and do a light ride. As soon as she had Koko out on the lunge, and asked him to move on, he started bucking and playing, happy to be out moving again. "This is why I am glad I lunged you. I did not feel like sitting on this today." Elena said out loud, directing their message towards Koko. Once he had got his yahyahs out, they got on, started flatting and began doing his bend promoting exercises, before picking him up into a nice frame and began trotting around the ring.
