{ Químico Fuerte }

Lead stallion / 3 years / Location: within the herd / M: Pumpkin, Concordia

The smile Fuerte wore didn't budge as he replied to Pump, "All is forgiven". His attention pulls off from Pumpkin as he moves away from her, tail swatting at flies biting his rump. While walking away from the center of the herd and taking up the position at the rear he would continue fighting off the persistent bugs. A snort forces its way out of his nostrils followed by a shake of his body, an attempt prevent pesky flies from landing on him. The same thought to move on crosses his mind, and when he figured he would speak up someone had uttered their opinion. He detected slight hesitance within the hushed tone, and briefly wondered if the mare was nervous or even shy.

Fuerte turns his body in the direction of the speaker, and finds himself staring directly back at Concord. From her overall relaxed demeanor, Fuerte concluded that she was neither shy nor nervous. He mulled over her intentions while watching her carefully; there was no outright attempt to undermine his leadership, she only spoke her opinion which he could agree with. Not only had he found it pleasant, but he appreciated that Concordia openly spoken without fear. If anything it seemed she was gauging his reaction. First, the famous smile returns to his features, then he hums thoughtfully. "Seems like you read my mind, Cordia" the nickname rolled off his tongue pleasantly, he spoke with such confidence, "I do agree, we best begin moving on. Waiting much longer would have us risk traveling through the hottest part of the day".

Once more Fuerte began moving, slow and casual while retaining his authority, he was delibaretly circling around the mares as if to bring them closer. The stallion's head raised, the crest of his neck arching whilst he spoke. "I'm certain we won't be the only ones needing something to drink. However, we must stick together-- roaming off alone is something everyone should avoid. Snakes aren't the only dangerous predators within the badlands, as I'm sure everyone knows," he pawed at the ground, striking the earth as a way to express the significance whilst he spoke.

Coming to a pause, Fuerte held his tongue with baited breath, waiting for any sign of rejection from his herd. Would they follow him? Did they trust him? He forced his expression to remain neutral, the worry he felt concealed behind calm and collection facade. He didn't doubt himself yet couldn't imagine what Concordia or even Pumpkin thought of what he had to say. Although he remained the sole leader, he kept an open mind to his herdmates opinions, for he valued their input. Fuerte cocked an ear directed at the mares, yet the other faced the side, anticipating possible rejection.

Pumpkin
Herd Mare / 3 Years / Location: within the herd / M: Fuerte,Cordia
( I typed out a big one then my page expired so this one is not as long)
Pump heard the herd members communicating with openness, she finally felt like they were coming together as a herd. She fully agreed with what Fuerte said, and was going to wait for concord to answer. In the midst of her hesitation she spoke out anyways, "I think that is a great idea! Shall we leave right now?". Her voice was raspy, and scratchy sounding. It was then that Pumpkin realized her mouth was like a desert, all dried up and sandy with no water. Pump did quite like the idea of a drink of cool, refreshing water, and her herd mates did too. After a quick shake of her mane to get all the annoying flies off she regained her confidence and focused towards Fuerte. He stood there with pride in his responsibility, and Pumpkin felt like she meant something more too him then just one of the billion mares of the herd like with the some of other big herds.
With the excitement of going somewhere also came fear, fear of other herds. With the circumstances, Pump trusted Fuerte to fulfill his duties as lead stallion. She knew the importance of trust in the herd, and at last she felt everyone here was trust worthy. She slowly put her head down to look at the ground for a minute. She saw cracks in the dirt, which was normal here, and she also saw three ants searching diligently for food. When her head came up she looked at Cordia. The angle of lighting made her look like a majestic unicorn. Her hair shined in the sun, and she told tall and proud. Pumpkin looked like a troll she assumed with a quick glance at her legs. She would get cleaned off at the river, she would also find something good to eat, There was so much to look forward too. She pointed her full attention to Fuerte, who looked ready to lead them there.

Concordia

Herd Mare | Three Years | Location: Within The Herd | M: Fuerte, Pumpkin

Stomping her right, front leg a few times to rid the flies that had landed, Concordia shifted slightly as she listened to Fuerte's response to her statement. She would be the first to admit that she felt relieved, perhaps even a bit excited, especially when he used the nickname. The little mare couldn't remember the last time someone had used the nickname Cordia for her besides her dam. It was almost euphoric and it made her warm and tingly inside to be reminded of her mother by such a simple and friendly action. She didn't dwell on it for long, however. Concord made it a point to be present at the moment. As much as she missed her dam, there were more pressing matters at hand, like water and survival.

Pulled out of her thoughts by Fuerte's voice once more, the petite mare craned her neck to look at him. He was right about the dangerous aspect here in the desert. Snakes would probably be the least of their worries when it came to traveling to the water source. Fuerte had made a good point, after all, they weren't the only animals occupying this desert. There were others, even some of their own kind that posed a much bigger risk to herself and the others in the herd. Vaguely, Concordia wondered if the others were aware of just how dire the situation could turn if they were not smart about their approach to the subject.

Flicking her tail behind her a few times to scatter the flies on her rump and back legs, she bobbed her head in thought. After a few moments of deliberation, she took up staring again. Pumpkin seemed keen to leave. Concordia couldn't decide whether or not she was fully aware of the risks, but she seemed to have placed a good amount of trust in Fuerte. She seemed to be much more at ease now though. The stallion, on the other hand, seemed nonchalant whilst awaiting their decisions. Pumpkin had clearly made hers and now it was Cordia's turn to make her own decision about moving. She moved her gaze over to Fuerte solely once again, staring for what some would consider an uncomfortable amount of time in complete silence as she carefully weighed her options. After a few minutes, she had made her decision and she was quite confident in it.

Instead of giving a verbal answer at first, Concordia gave a physical response. Striding forward with her ears pricked and her head held high, she stopped once she was beside him, gently nudging his shoulder as a form of agreement. "I chose to join you for a reason. If I hadn't thought you would look after me, I wouldn't have joined you. Wherever you lead, I'll follow." With her answer solidified verbally, Concordia fell silent once more as she waited for Fuerte to get everything else settled in order to start moving. She wasn't sure what this outing would be like, or how smoothly it would go, but Concord did know that she was going into it with full trust in Fuerte and her herd mates to react appropriately to whatever situation they'd find themselves in.

Zora

Herd Mare- 4 years- Location- Within the Herd
Zora stomped her hoof. The wind blew fiercely. Her mane, flew behind her. She watched her herd. Everyday, her parents would come to mind. She missed them dearly. Growing up in a herd of other horses, wasn't want she had expected, but she loved being part of it. Fuerte, the lead stallion, led her to push her limits. Her skills came in handy while fighting, hunting, and traveling. Zora trusted Fuerte and would do anything to please him, and the herd. She flicked her tail to keep the flies away. Zora stood on top of a hill, looking at the herd down below. She trotted down the hill and tossed her mane. Zora came to a stop in front of Fuerte. She always thought of him as family. He was the one that adopted her into the herd. Zora looked at Fuerte hoping he wasn't mad at her.
Zora made sure he wasn't upset, before trotting off to graze with the rest of the herd, or her family. Once in a while, she would look up to make sure no other intruders were near. Up ahead, she noticed movement in the trees. A bear growled and inched towards the herd. Zora neighed and galloped at the bear. She charged and reared in front of the bear. The black mare looked back to get the herd's attention, but no one seemed to hear her. Fighting was part of her daily routine, even if it risked her life.

{ Químico Fuerte }

Lead stallion / 3 years / Location: within the herd / M: Everyone

Time: Late in the morning/early afternoon (~11:30 am)
Weather: Noticeably warm with the occasional breeze

Sensing no hesitation or rejection, quite the opposite actually, which is confirmed as Cordia joins his side. The mare was rather small not just in height. Her build was frankly petite which made a stark contrast compared to Fuerte's stocky frame. He found Cordia's words to be rather grounding which enabled him to think more clearly. Silence follows as the stallion examines Cordia thoughtfully, mulling over what she had said. Not only had she entrusted him, but the other mares did as well. It wasn't hard for him to see this now, yet he felt somewhat foolish for having not noticed sooner.

A snort passes through the stallion's muzzle but not before he tosses a grateful smile downwards at Concordia. The stallion parts from where he had been standing, and takes point at the front of the herd. He tosses his head followed by a whinny. "It's settled then.. We are leaving!" he exclaims determinedly. He moved at a rather reasonable pace ahead of the group, but allowed the mares to work their way past as they fell into formation. Eventually he would be tailing behind everyone, yet he dictated their movements simply by urging them forward when needed.

Upon occasion would Fuerte pick his pace from a walk into a trot which in turn forces the mares to go faster. Though he remained careful to not overwork himself or anyone, even if he knew he could handle the heat of the desert he wasn't sure how the others would hold up. After all, it would be some time before they would reach the waterhole. In the time they had spent trotting, the herd had begun to feel the first waves of heat from the sun. Only then would Fuerte begin to slow to a walk as he wanted to preserve his energy.

He found himself trailing up beside Zora, and gives her a friendly smile as to not spook her at his sudden appearance. "How are you holding up?" he inquires curiously, eyes shifting from the horizon over to the jet black mare, refraining from staring he then settled his eyes ahead once more.

(the best I can do with little sleep haha)

Zora

herd mare- within the herd
Zora chased the bear off and trotted back towards the herd. She saw Fuerte and stopped in her tracks. She gazed downwards and slumped. Once he asked her a question, Zora perked up and stood proud. "It's going well! I see, we're moving on?" Zora turned her eyes towards the moving herd, then back to Fuerte. "How's it been leading the herd? Going good?" Zora cocked her head. Her mane flowing to the ground. A light wind brushed through the trees."We should head back to the herd!" Zora mentioned as she trotted off. She walked to the front of the herd to where Fuerte stands. Zora always wanted a nice view, and the front was the place to go. She turned her head and smiled back at the herd. Her family.
Zora trotted along through the fields and stopped to graze a couple times. She love being at the front with Fuerte. Seeing the world around her and learning his ways, was all that mattered to her. She watched the clouds fly by and started seeing more and more stars appear in the early night sky.

One of the rules state: Only I will be able to change the time and weather. This is to keep the story moving at a reasonable pace.

The current time is 11:30 am, late in the morning or considered to be early in the afternoon. Also they are currently in the desert, moving towards a better location with water and food. This is all I noticed and wanted to address it, apologies for any inconvenience
