Ceri and her twin Cadogan was born in Adelaide, Australia, to Mitchen and Elissa James. She grew up on a farm where she learned to ride at the age of 4. She soon grew a love for dressage, and had her first pony when she was 11. When she was 12, her family moved to Melbourne. From there, she competed in the Junior classes, then Young Rider classes. She was 17 when she rode her first Grand Prix test on her past GP horse Korina. There was a major accident which killed her horse and left her in hospital. After that, she became reluctant to ride again, her mother told her father she wanted a divorce, and Ceri and Mitchen James moved to the US to where Mitchem's family lived in Montana. Ceri doesn't speak to her mother anymore, and she has never met(nor does she ever want to) her step-father, but her brother was more attached to their mother so he was slightly more forgiving. Her father decided that Ceri needed to get out of her shell again, so he bought her Nitid, and a few months later Ceri was given Carnival by a friend if her grandparents. Ceri then decided, on a whim, to apply for Ravenwood.

Ceri has collar bone length honey blonde hair, big green eyes framed by thick lashes, and a face that she would say is not beautiful but is striking. She has a natural lightly tanned skin colour which tans quite quickly under the sun. She has a brown birth mark on back which she is self-conscious about. Unable to go to bed early most nights, she stays up either reading or watching TV, durig which she likes to paint her nails, so she often has painted nails and the colours change regularly.

ʙᴀᴄᴋꜱᴛᴏʀʏ: She was bred by a small stud in Ireland but sold to a man in the US as a filly, where she was left in the paddock until she was 4. Ceri was driving past her paddock on the way to try another horse and pointed her out to her father. On the way back from trying the horse(Which Ceri disliked), they dropped in to see the man about the grey mare. He said he bought her for his granddaughter who had a brain tumor and recently died. Whist Ceri was by the paddock fence watching the horse, her father explained their situation and that Ceri had just lost her horse and after a long conversation and lots of persuasion the man sold Nitid to them. Ceri took Nitid home, where she just did ground work with her for a year, and then she started riding and flat-work as a 5 year old. Now at age 8, Nitid is quite established with the dressage.

Holly is 5'4 with a lanky body. Long femurs and slim calves led her to have a typical equitation body. Her muscles are toned from long days in the barn, she's very comfortable mucking stalls, throwing hay, or braiding manes. She has an oval-shaped face with brown eyes and mid back brown hair. Her hair is often swept up in a bun or shoved under a helmet. If left down, it tends to fall in gentle layered waves. Holly has both ear lobes double-pierced with small simple studs. She typically wears simple workman-like barn clothes - breeches or jeans, sun shirts or polo shirts, and depending on the weather a vest or zip jacket.

ᴘᴇʀꜱᴏɴᴀʟɪᴛʏ: Holly takes her riding very seriously. She's dedicated her life to horses and is always seeking knowledge. She's up for any equestrian challenge and rarely says 'no' when given an opportunity. She's even ridden a bull! (well a docile steer)

Sometimes she's concentrating so hard on a task, that she needs to be reminded that it's actually fun. She does like to hang out with other people and do normal 'not-at-the-barn' things, but it's her happy place!

Holly loves to learn and teach - if you ever have a problem and need some help, just ask! Although you might get more than you bargained for as she tends to go on tangents (like deep diving into genetics or training tips).

After graduating university with a bachelors in marketing, she struggled to find balance with work and following her passion. It took a bit of trial and error, working the wrong job and being nearly broke all the time. With remote working opportunities and taking up working student gigs at barns, Holly spent the last couple of years moving up and down the East Coast following big name trainers. She spent the past winter in Wellington, Florida on the WEF circuit (mostly working but showed a couple of times).

ᴘᴇʀꜱᴏɴᴀʟɪᴛʏ: Voyager is a trusty steed who likes having a job. He's typically a relaxed easy going horse but can get quickly wound up when in confined spaces. He really doesn't like dark small spaces and will be an anxious mess. He does better in a stall that has a couple windows and he can look out over the barn aisle. If there's an attached run to his stall, he does a lot better, and most often spending his time outside. He gets along pretty well with easy going geldings and does well in overnight turnout with them. He doesn't like to be fussed at especially with grooming and tacking - it's better to get him in and out of the grooming stall. Once mounted up, he relaxes and puts his game face on. He can handle going out on the trail by himself or taking to the gallop track with others. He loves racing on the beach and will prance in the waves.

ʙᴀᴄᴋꜱᴛᴏʀʏ: Holly acquired Voyager after graduating college when she was working for a show jump trainer. He was part of a retired racehorse lot. He was rehabbed for a slight bow in his right front tendon but has since but steady and sound. He needs mild maintenance for some arthritic changes - mostly massage and PEMF takes care of his body. He enjoys acupuncture and usually gets treated before a show.

ᴘᴇʀꜱᴏɴᴀʟɪᴛʏ: Merlin is a total in-your-pocket pony! He loves attention. He will spend an entire day getting pampered, he doesn't mind bathing, clipping, trimming, braiding, primping. He loves to play and being worked. He's been known to fall asleep leaning on the instructor in the middle of a lesson (when it's someone else's turn). He's also been known to follow a carrot on the end of a string. If you need a laugh or a mane to cry into - Merlin is your guy! He enjoys jumping and training, but he can be lazy especially in flat work. He's not the fastest pony on the farm and may have been better suited for Hunterland instead of Jumpers.

ʙᴀᴄᴋꜱᴛᴏʀʏ: Holly spotted Merlin's ad on social media - a skinny and underwhelming young horse who was said to be a great prospect if someone took the time to train him. He wasn't shining under his current trainer and they were looking for a quick sale. Holly took one look at his sparkling eyes and new she had to have him. It took about a year for him to fatten up and grow out his dull coat, but now he is a stunning bay beauty. He's the perfect amateur horse!
