Hello, I am a tier 3 artist :) im not amazing at art, but I enjoy photo manips. I can cut out a horse accurately, but I have no clue about lighting and struggle with hair and can do simple coat colour changes. Examples coming soon!!

Shadows! I think shadows would be a great help, as well as making the mane/tail blend with the horse a bit better.

Shadows would give the manipulation more realism and more structure :) You also draw the manes flat/directly from where you've cut the horse out. Try drawing it beginning just above the cut to give the impression of 3D hair and movement/volume. Try blending the dock upwards towards the croup a little to give the tail a more natural look, rather than appearing pasted on. Overall, however, very good! You're definitely super creative.

I would suggest getting Ibis Paint X if possible. It has a ton of great brushes, and can be used for hair, cutting out, painting...pretty much everything! I would work on grounding the horse more, and working with lighting and for wings, making it more smooth where the wing meets the horse so it looks natural :D You did an awesome job cutting out the horse, and I love your ideas: they are super creative!
