Phoenix sighed and returned to watching the prarie herd. His golden buckskin coat color shimmering. he twitched a ear and shook out his silver tail. He wanted the other herd away from the mountain herd and away from his mother. He bared his teeth briefly at the Prarie herd then turned back to his mother.

why would we make this deal,we could move away and not have to deal with the mountain herd she galloped and let the wind whip her mane and tail as she cleared imaginary logs, she spun around and played in the puddles enjoying the mud splashing onto her coat, bored she trotted around and was just dying to give the mountain herd a good kick in the rump and maybe a nip or two

Amaranth | Mare | M - Dusty

After being shoo’d off by Hera, Amaranth was left to her own devices. She briefly stared inquisitively towards the farm in the distance where she could see the outlines of a human and horse entering a barn. Amaranth would be lying if she said that she hadn’t given thought about humans, and the way domestic horses live, but her fear outweighs her curiosity. Her attention was ripped away from the farm when a splash erupted and she turned swiftly to the sound. Ears drooping in relief when she realized Dusty was lounging in a pond, she sighed in her heart. Her mind flittered elsewhere, consumed with thoughts of the future of the herd.

I wonder if he will play with me kestrel trotted around and walked up to phoenix"h-hello!" she danced back and forth nervous "do you want to play?" she was bouncing up and down with anxiety and felt like she would fall maybe he won't want to play. maybe he thinks im weird she stopped prancing and stood there waiting for a reply

Phoenix turned to Kestrel and said "I would love to play." He smiled. "Mom can I play with Kestrel?"

"Of course." Wind Dancer nickered "Just dont go to close to the prarie herd alright you two?"

"Yes mom." Phoenix said

kestrel nipped phoenix on the rump "your it!" she turned and pranced backwards teasing him to come chase her maybe I do have a friend! she jumped and mid-air turned as dust flew up everywhere "can't catch me" and she was just glad somebody played with her,she couldn't imagine being lonely forever,it didn't seem right

Phoenix galloped after Kestrel giggling "I gonna get you." His long legs ate up ground and closed in on Kestrel. He loved running. The feel of the wind in his mane and tail felt the best. He made sure not to hit anyhorse as he chased after Kestrel.

It's amazing that the Mountain Herd hasn't taken over the pond yet. I wish they would just leave us alone. But, unfortunately, that's not going to happen. Dusty thought as she traveled into shallower areas. She layed down as soon as the water was shallow enough. She surveyed the herd, watching a few graze over what little grass was left.

Arion stopped grazing for a moment, spotting a colt from the Mountain Herd baring his teeth at his herd. Arion debated going after the foal, but decided against it when the colt turned away. Mid-day was approaching, the hottest part of the day. Arion stopped grazing completely and walked to the pond where Dusty was laying. He plunged in himself and stood in the other side of the pond. Arion watched two Mountain Herd foals playing. His eyes narrowed.

why does that foal look so familiar epona glanced at kestrel jumping around playing with another foal they look like halt,unless. no it cant be her brother halt had been a pet horse and was hopelessly in love with a mare from the mountain herd, and they had a filly what was her name? was is kestrel? crystal? uhg why can't I remember then she watched the spin jump she did and never saw hail standing there

"epona"hail came over and started grooming her friend"your thinking about them aren't you.."hail licked epona's ear as her friend nodded"she looks and acts like him and It remindes me of him"epona let herself whine into hails mane"epona its okay" she whispered and continued to groom epona getting twigs out of her hair

Phoenix jumed happily as he got closer to Kestrel. He whinnied playfully "I am gonna get you." He enjoyed this play because most of the time he stayed where his mother could see him. His eyes glimmered lively.
