|Solider| 2nd In Command Stud| Age: 5| Mated: No. |M: Granite, Sailor, Herd, Open)
The buckskin stallion had made it his full round of the herd lands, blue hues scouted the area, but didn't see any signs of a wolf or anything coming close. He was very keen on making sure no prints showed up in the mud that might give a hint something was close. Standing tall, his muzzle rose to the air as he took in the scent, everything seemed quiet and calm. He assumed what they heard was further off and he hoped it stayed that way. Audits swilved as he exited from the wet damped woods and out into the open, hues squinted as the sun had come out to play. Pinned his audits, he rolled his hues, the weather soon would turn humid from the rain but at least he was no longer wet. Shaking his pelt, he began to stride back to the herd.
Slender audits flicked as he came back into the herd, hues darting around, it was all but a big depressing mud pie all around, barely anything to eat. Blue hues quietly darted to towards the herd memebers, checking on each one as he passed them, as he searched for Granite. Thick damp plumage flicked as it coursed at his side as it flung bits of mud with his powerful swish. Pausing, he glanced around and his hues floated towards his brother before he found Granite talking to Anastasia. Tilting his frame, looked like they were in deep conversation. He allowed a low bellow to echo towards them, letting Granite know he was back and things was okay as he made his way over to his brother.
|Sailor| Herd Stallion| Age: 5| Mated: No| M: Soilder, Herd, Eve, Open|
Blue hues scanned the muddy area around him, lifting his muzzle from the grounds as mud clung to it. Snorting softly, his audits swivled as he spotted a little bit of grass poking it's way through the mud. Nostrils flared as he examined it, it wasn't much of anything. He huffed softly before softly nipping at them. Wrinkling his muzzle, it wasn't the best thing he ever had. He stood tall as he rose his frame and looked around, he began to feel some worried that his brother had not yet returned. Audits perked seeing Granite making his way over to Anastaia, it looked urgent, he was curious if everything was okay but chose to look away
Focusing on the distance mountain cliffs, he let out a sigh before blinking and looking up towards th clouds. Smiling as the warming sun was coming out, and for that he was grateful. Plumage flicked as he boredly as his glance went back out to watching the herd, for a few moments he watched Eve sleep before looking towards the others. Shifting his weight, the crummy feeling of the heat coming out made his skin crawl. He knew it would create a humid feeling which he was not looking forward too. He closed his hues allowing his frame to drop some as he quietly stood and dozed off for a bit of a nap.
The brown stallion was dreaming about a nice hot summer day with a cool breeze, hills of open feilds with lush grasses and a big river to splash in... but soon his dreaming was distrubed by approaching foot steps. Opening his hues, they fell upon Soilder, his brother coming up to him. Audits perked, as he yawned then following it with a smile, the worry of his brother was now faded. "How did the run go... find anything?" he asked curiously as he locked hues to his brother. "This place is getting bad...here. Almost all the grass is gone... do you think we will move?" he snorted as a growl from his stoamch erupted. Edited at March 28, 2021 12:00 PM by Whispering Wood Barn

Sage woke up from her slumber, noticing Rose was not next to her. Her brain automatically drifted to worse things. "Come on Sage.. you are fine." She took a second to calm herself before lifting from the dead grass. "If I were Rose where would I be? Possibly with her father?" Sage headed towards where Rocky was on patrol. They had a quick catch up and he had found no food or water at all. "Sage, I don't know what to tell you. She knows to stay in the herd, maybe ask the other patrollers?" Rocky responded to Sage, who was obviously nervous. Rose was frolicking around the meadow, until she realized the flowers were wilting. She ran back over to where some other horses stood. She saw Raven, who Rose remembered as the one with a new friend for Rose in her stomach. There was another young horse here, but none close to her age. She ran back to her mother who was frantically cleaning her off and giving a lecture which Rose did not hear much of.

(Can't post as Anastasia until Lucky replies, sorry) Eve | Mare | 5yrs | Dark Brown | M: Anastasia & Granite Eve managed to find a few bits of grass but it wasn't enough to satisfy her, She walked down to the lake were she drank quite a bit of water hoping that would help but her stomach continued to growl all she could do was hope her mother and Granite had it all under control. Eve laid down by the water trying to save her energy, She looked up at the sky watching the sun slowly fall as a breeze blew making her shiver a bit before resting her head down on the dirt/mud.

Rose | Yearling/Filly | 1yr, about 2yrs | M: Sage & Rocky Rose jogged towards the lake where her tired and thirsty body basically drank more than her body could handle. She laid down, a few feet from another young mare named Eve. The cold air made her shiver and she lasted another breeze before she fell into a quiet slumber. Rose dreamed of lush meadows and lakes all inside of the herd's territory. They would never have danger.. and after that her dream ended. Sage | Mare | 7yrs | M: Unknown Heritage Sage was watching her daughter drink water and fall asleep when she really started thinking. Rocky and I need to bring our daughter somewhere safe.. especially because we have some news for her, Sage thought to herself. She contemplated leaving the herd, but ultimately decided against it. What is the right decision? She wouldn't ever really know. Rocky | Patrol Stallion | 8yrs | M: Late Patrol Stallion & Mare Rocky hadn't been patrolling for safety for the last week. He had been looking for food. He walked down towards the lake where his daughter lay, giving her one last glance before trotting back up the hill to his patrol area. It's so quiet out here.. there's gotta be something happening, he thought. Rocky's patrol had just finished, and he walked over to Sage where they didn't talk, just woke Rose up and brought her to them. Rocky had found a bush that was completely hollow with one stick up the middle, it was a large bush, and his family stayed there happily. They used to have scraps of food, but all hope had been lost a week or two ago for that. The family snuggled up to create body heat, Rose in the middle, and the cold air had vanished from Rose, only Rocky feeling it.

Feanora|Patrol Mare|5yrs|M: Xera, Varius Feanora sighed as she shook the water off her coat. Not much was happening where she was, but she still felt uneasy. She wanted to patrol, but it seemed like all was handled. Looking around, she decided to find some food for herself and for Xera, who was able to eat grass now. Unfortunately, there wasn't very much to go around, and Feanora became increasingly worried about the food shortage. At least no predators have attacked, and the bachelor stallions haven't stirred up trouble yet. Feanora thought to herself as she walked, looking for patches of green. Feelings of anger and sadness coursed through her as she remembered what had happened the last time bachelor stallions came near the herd. They will never again do what they did. She thought as she pinned her ears, as if threatening the far off troublemakers. Xera|Filly|2yrs|M: Feanora Xera was enjoying the water the rain brought, and was splashing happily in the muddy puddles, not caring if her coat got dirty. This is fun! I wonder why mother won't join me. She thought as she stomped into the puddle with her front legs. Giggling as the muddy water washed over her, she jumped into it, making the biggest splash she was able to make. She loved the water, and since it had just been raining, she felt happier than normal, and with her uplifted mood came much energy, with she had been using to stir up the water in the puddles left by the storm.
