The stallion let out a low huff as he approached his brother, shifting his weight onto three legs as his mostly dried forelock fell over one of his blue hues, audits perked "It was fine. No wolves in sight, whatever we heard was fare off... for now" as his audits relaxed back to his frame, thick plumage swished as the sun began to go down, it had been an awful long day of thunderstorms and rain. He hoped for a better, less humid day tomorrow. He rose a brow at Salior's question before souring his frame "I have no idea" as he turned his frame to scan the herd, so man new members had joined, so many foals to feed. A low feeling sorta hit his gut before he eyed his brother once more "I don't know what Granite's plans are for the herd. We will just have to eat what we can. Being the foals and the pregant mare eat first" he huffed with a stern tone before dropping his frame to itch his leg. Hues flicked up to his brother, he had followed his gaze a smrik stiring on his frame as he nudged Sailor's shoulder "Got your eyes on Eve, mate?" he chuckled before quickly lifting his frame high at a fast nip his brother landed on his muzzle, audits pinned before he huffed "No need to get hasty, I was just saying" before he shook his frame once more, gave his brother the stink eye before looking back out at the herd members as they all was spread out doing their own things.

The stallions audits swivled listening to his brother's words, he turned to look out at the herd as well, before sighing softly. "I agree they should eat first, it's the right thing to do" he nickered softly before his hues drifted to each herd member before eyeing Eve once more. Audits soon perked yet quickly pinned at Soilder's teasing words, quickly turinging he lashed out a small correction nip towards his brother's muzzle, frame soon flushed red as he narrowed his blue hues towards his brother, feeling a bit embarssed, he advoided eye contact and looked towards the ground as his plumage wrap around one of his hind legs. Huffing, as his hues glared back at soilder for a brief moment, he turned his body facing the oppsite way, pluamge flicked hitting his brother's legs as he allowed his frame to drop "At least I like them my age" he whispered low enough for his brother not to hear, knowing Soilder prefered his future mate really young. Though, neither stud had ever had a mate, they was able to dream about it. Right?

Raven's eyes scanned the herd,she then lowered her head tugging at some weeds.

Dawn cantered around the edges of the herd as the wind tugged at her.

Ylva eyes landed on a group of filles playing rather far from the herd.She let out a loud nicker summoning them to come closer to the herd.

Starla stopped as Dawn cantered past her,she watched as she then got father away.Her head jerked as she herd her mother nickering to the group of fillies.

Eve's dark brown eyes opening again as she lifted her head slightly before stretching out her lengthy front legs in front of her and starting to lift her body from the mud, Once standing she shook her coat getting rid of some mud before she turned heading towards her mother. Eve's head low as she approached Anne giving a small nicker before standing beside her getting some warmth from her then resting her head in the dip of her back giving a snort of exhaustion

Anne turned hearing a familiar nicker and relaxed seeing Eve, Once she got closer her heart sunk seeing again just how skinny she was. She let her rest her head against her and nuzzled her gently "Everything's going to work out soon i promise" She said in a soft tone before grooming her coat a bit then focused on Granite again

The paint mare rested underneath the large oak planted alone in the expanse of the meadow in which her herd uncomfotably resided in. She watched the water droplets glide effortlessly down her white legs and to the bare ground underneath her hooves. Bare dirt. It was beneath her, beside her, around her, and everywhere swallowing the herd. It reminded her that the equines had obviously overstayed their welcome in the land and it could no longer produce the foliage to sustain such a large number of grazers. They were all growing thin and the urge to move on was on everyone's mind but no one dared to move without the say so of the lead pair.

The thought had crossed Nevada's mind more than once since their food delima had begun. She turned her dark head to the withering bodies before her. She had been watching them intensly more recently. She could feel their misery and longed to help them.

Raven trotted toward a small lake a bit off from the herd.Once there she drank the cool water.

Dawn stopped and layed down in some weeds.

Ylva checked on everyone to make sure they were okay.

Starla shifted from leg to leg as she stood at her post,she thought she herd rustling in the thorn bushes"Calm down there is nothing there....right?"she mumbled to herself.

Soon night was upon them, the cool night's breeze blowing against his pelt, the area darkening around them as his nostrils flared, audits swiveled as the buckskin stud and his brother moved back towards the tree lines of the herd. Plumage softly flicked as an audit pinned back hearing his brother snoring. Blue hues flicked as he turned his muzzle, the stud seemed to be sleeping very continetly which brought a smile to soilder's face for it's been the first time in a while he seen his brother be able to sleep. Letting out a sigh, he stepped forward, muzzle to the ground looking for something to crunch on as the stars glistened in the sky but there was no moon. Forelock feel over his frame as he nibbled on a little patch of grass sticking out from the ground.

Shaking his frame, he rose it once more, looking around some foal was sleeping quietly by their mothers, others still seemed to find it hard to sleep as other studs and mares was spread out, sleeping, drinking from the nearby creek or looking for food like him. He softly sighed before audits pinned "I am going to talk to Grainte tomorrow about moving the herd" he hissed in a whisper. This was no place to raise foals or for any mare to be. He felt an anger stur in him at the disgrace of this place. Knowing the weather has been bad, but, there has to be someplace better.

Hearing mumbled words, he turned to see his brother yawning sleepy as he tried to speak. He huffed softly with a soured face "Yea, everything is okay... just talking to myself.." as he turned back to look out. Shifting his weight as he noticed a a figure to his side, he rose a brow "I am sorry I distrubed your sleep, you can go back if you wish...I was about to sleep myse...." he sighed "Mmm. I was just thinking about talking to Granite about moving the herd" as his hues flicked to Sailor in the corner of his sockets.

Feeling another breeze against them, hues flicked to scan the horses once more before settling down to sleep, as his hues landed on the new comer, a blood bay mare. He hasn't seen her around before, that or he paid little attention. He watched her as she watched the herd, his hues trickling over her white features as she was shaded by the darkness of the meadow, and for a moment his audits perked.

The brown painted stallion had fallen alseep, facing away from his brother from their last little disagreement, the night had settled, brisking a cold breeze against the stud, who seemed not to care. Audits was flopping relaxed at his frame, lower lip dripping down with slight head bobs every so often, nostrils breathing in the peaceful night breeze. Silk mane moving just slighty on his neck as his thick plumage was tangled around a hind leg.

Whispered words tickled his audits as it pulled him from his deep sleep, blue hues struggling to open as he muttered "huh?" letting out a big yawn and licking his lips, frame soon turned behind him to find his brother looking back at him. Slender audits perked some "Everything okay?" he asked softly yet still obviously tired. Raising a brow, he shook his pelt and turned to face side by side to Soilder. He eyed him softly and honestly he was a little worried seeing frustration written across the larger build studs frame. "It's okay but, what's really bothering you. I know something is" he camly spoke. Audits swivled at the answer as he blinked and peered over to the open meadows of the herd "I think that wouldn't hurt. The herd is getting bigger" as he offered a positive grin, before following his brother's graze to a beautiful blood bay mare. "Oh." was all that feel from his mouth, he eyed his brother once more before looking towards the mare again, curiously.

Raven layed down near the water's edge watching stars glimmer.Raven jerked her head hearing the howls,not feeling safe she got up and walked into the center of the herd.Her ears perked she lisened for any father sign of danger.

Dawn got up and started to do laps around the herd trying to get tired.Dawn skidded to a halt hearing the howls,after a few moments she went back to doing laps around the herd.Her ears perked and her eyes scanning the dark forest lines.

Ylva looked around the herd taking in everyone and everything.Ylva looked towards the howls her ears flat agaist her head,she looked around,then layed down.She had one eye open while she lisened to everything around her.

Starla stood in her post not moving,she jerked her head hearing the howling some what close to her.She snorted and perked her ears lisening for pawsteps,her eyes scaning the area.

Anastasia's head snapped in the direction of the howls and her ears pinned back quickly nudging Eve in the other direction before checking everyone was there watching as the herd members tensed up and the foals looked scared, Trying to stay calm she made sure all of the pregnant mares and foals were in the middle of the herd as she tried her best to hopefully get everyone moving not sure what Granite was doing

Eve listened to her mother and started moving away from the howls scared as it sounded like they were closer than before, Her ears flicking around alert as her tail flicked at her sides showing how worried she was.

Raven looked towards Anastasia,a worried looked entered her eyes.

Dawn walked towards Raven.Once next to her she looked to where she heard the howls coming from,Dawn saw Starla and hoped she knew what she was doing.

Ylva stood and looked around for Starla,once she spotted her she nickered trying to get her to come closer.

Starla looked towards her mother before looking back towards the forest.She heard pawsteps slowly creeping though the undergrough,she let out a loud nicker warning the wolves to back away.

Hearing the wolf howls, he added quickly "We'll talk later". He cantered to a hill above the herd, scanning the area. Ears pricked and eyes narrowed, he was so focused on the horses in front of him, that he failed to look behind him.

Hearing a snarling growl behind him a moment to late, he turned and reared, lashing out at the wolves. One landed on his rear, and he started to buck, trying to get him off. Another circled around his neck and face, snapping.
