I honestly don't know who took this picture, but it's been in my camera roll for a while so sorry about that. It just wasn't me.
Here's David, a 13.1 7/8 hand American Sport Pony gelding. He's 12 years old and has the stride of of a 17 hand horse. He's not officially mine, but I am curious what you have to say.
The picture's from a few years ago, so he's less of a baby now.

I'm not going to be very confident much at all here. Her shoulder looks very straight in the top photo, but well-sloped in the second....I wanna lean more towards it's straight (gives a shorter stride) - Long backed - Straight legs - Lo-ong pasterns - Appears well balanced. I'd be able to tell more if she wasn't on an incline, but otherwise, I wish to steal-eth her. XD She's gorgeous!

She was a surprisingly lucky $350 find with minimal issues so far (Knock on wood) lol. Thank you for the feedback!

I've found the cheaper end ones tend to be some of the best horses! ^^ She is one hell of a find! :D Good luck with her!

Despite a short neck, I'm kind of loving the definition and muscle on it XD - straight shoulder - very long back, holy cow lol - I th-ink a weak loin? Someone might need to correct me on that - I believe a good croup - slightly camped under in the back end - possible camped under in the front end too - looks like good legs - longer, upright pasterns in front - looks a little weak in balance in that front third, other than that, I really like him! Such a purty boy! ^^

For everyone critiquing in this forum, as someone who competitively judges horses there is one big factor I live by. The trapezoid.
A horse should have a straight line from its withers to croup and a straight line from the wither down the shoulder and from the croup and down the hip. A horse is also ideally flat on the underbelly as to not have a pointed flank.

Ive competed the past 2 days and I can't stress how much conformation/halter judges stress this.

Haha I definitely agree with "not great balance on the front end". He trips over himself all the time, but is super sound. I've always thought his back is a bit long, thanks for the confirmation on that.

This is my half-lease, these photos are from earlier in the year, but he looks about the same, maybe has some more hair that he has started shedding for about a month now.

His name is Koko, short for Kokopelli, we do not know what his breeds are, but we suspect that he is a QH, TB, and maybe ISH and/or a tiny bit of Arab cross. He is 15.1 and if he stands on his tip toes his can get to 15.2. He has put on a lot of muscle and his fitness level has risen significantly, but it is now winter, so he is losing some of the muscle that was gained from jumping. He only showed lower level eventing this past year, but normally does both Eventing and Dressage shows. We have been competing Novice together, and he has a limit of one or two Trainings in his life time. He is currently showing First Level dressage, and we are going to show Prelim-A test next saturday.

Critique away! This is my 15 year old Warmblood mare by Quite Easy (Son of Quidam de Revel) and out of a Contender mare. She's about 16.2hh and yes, is a bit fat. It's just how she runs. She is my showjumping horse and has competed up to 1.35m as a young horse, but only does 1.0m-1.10m with me.

Would love to hear what you all have to say!

I thinks she's adorable, and not at all flat, going left to right, here we go!
Looks maybe a bit camped out in the back, nice legs, not to straight, gorgeous butt 😏, nice muscling, NO groose rump, which is awesome. Nice barrel area, no sigh of sway back, she appears to have nice shoulder angles which also matches her pastern and hip angles. Nice legs, perfectly on the plumb line, flat knees, her front feet look a quite flat with long toes and very little heel (maybe speak to your farrier). Nice deep chest, with a gorgeous neck (look at that mane!) Topped of, by an adorable Lady-like head.
What an adorable mare you have.
