One of our boarders on cleaning her stall(s): "I gutted the ponies" She meant that she stripped the bedding out of the stalls, no ponies were harmed in the cleaning of these stalls....

My Grandma commenting on my horse's dapples "Wow, Zoey's dopplers are really bright" - I have told her multiple times that they are called dapples lol so I didn't even try to correct her this time XD Edited at January 20, 2022 01:02 PM by DaisyMeadowEventing

uhh I guess this belongs here XD A while back we boarded at a place that was sold to non-horsey people, but they thought they were horse people because they owned horses... Yeah no it doesn't work like that but ok. She had a couple mini donkeys, two females (one with baby male) and 1 yearling male (stallion). For the three years we were there she claimed the female with out a baby was pregnant. Got her ultrasounded, nothing. Still claimed there was a baby in there. Then she got her baby gelded but left the now/then two year old stallion a stallion. This year 5 years after she got them the one she claimed was pregnant had a foal. Looks exactly like the stallion and she keeps saying (posting on a social media platform) how she dosn't understand how she has a foal 🤦♀️ Oh, I'd also like to add that she didn't think she needed to seperate the donkeys because "her stallion would never think to get on any girl" There is so much more that I could share

There's this girl who keeps telling everyone that I got ran over by my horse (I told her about my riding accident, I did NOT get ran over, I got thrown off badly) I've tried explaining to her that its very different and she won't believe me 🥲 LOL A different person told me getting my horses feet done is abuse 😂

Six year old beginner at my barn sees the Shetland pony she will ride (they do pony rides for little kids)...😂. "Aww, it's a baby horse!! Can I ride it?" The instructor, "It's a pony, not a baby horse. You will be riding him today." "Aww it a baby pony?" The instructor, "Nope, just a pony." "Aww, it's so cute." I wanted to cringe and laugh at the same time lol. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The ultimate eye roll for me... "What's that white ones name over there?" "He's not white he's gray." "He's obviously white." Sigh* Launches into explanation... (This one gets on my nerves a bit because it happens so often.) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Parent: when is my kid going to gallop? Parent later on, sees their kid cantering Parent: omg! Their galloping! **gets out phone to record.** This is hilarious when people just forget, or don't know, that canter is a gait too. I have seen it in multiple situations, this being one of them. Edited at December 7, 2022 06:42 AM by TigerLily Equestrian
