Sage slept comfortably for quite a while, until he heard the slight whine of the baby. No doubt he was hungry again, but Mari was still asleep... the baby hadn't quite started to cry, it was more just a whimper as of right then. So he grabbed another bottle and picked the baby up, trying not to wake up Mari. She looked so peaceful sleeping, and she did have to rest and heal. Besides, he was up, and he did want to feed him. The little one latched onto the bottle right away, and Sage leaned back up against the headboard, watching the little one happily.

Mari groaned when she felt the small weight move from her chest, and her eyes flickered open for a moment before looking over to Ssge, who had the baby in his arms. She smiled before rolling over and wrapping her arms around his waist, her he'd resting just below his chest so she wasn't in the way of the baby. She soon drifted away again, desperately trying to feel a little bit less pain... sleep did that pretty well. When she was asleep or passed out she could feel nothing, which was wonderful, and certainly welcomed. She was grateful for Sage being here, helping every step of the way... he really was perfect. She was exhausted though, so she passed out fairly quickly, arms around him and head on his ribcage were she was comfortable.

Sage glanced over at Mari when she shifted, and chuckled softly when she wrapped herself around him and drifted off again. No doubt she was still just as tired as him...if not more so...even though she'd passed out before, that wasn't rest, that was really just mostly her body going back to normal. He stayed sitting up after that, mostly because Mari had wrapped herself around him and was comfortable so he didn't want to move and disturb the girl. But he'd slept enough, and he was enjoying just being able to hold both her and the child. They would have to name him soon though...they couldn't just keep calling him 'the baby'. He needed a name, a real name. Maybe Mari would want to name him after her father or something. They'd talked about ideas, yes, but he wasn't sure that any of them fit this little guy.

Mari slept holding onto her fiancé for quite a while... she was still

completely exhausted. The pain just wasn't stopping, either... it wouldn't go away. So sleep made it go away. She woke up late the next morning, when the baby started crying again. It was about ten... so very late, but there was a warm bottle by her side so grabbed it as scooped the baby up to feed the boy once more. "Hungry little guy, aren't you?" She hummed gently to the baby before shaking her head. Sage was still fast asleep. When the baby cooed for some more milk, she reached for another bottle, though the child started to cry again. She sighed offered it to him, her hand stroking the side of his face, her eyes looking down on the little guy, full of pride and admiration. "Shhh... you need to be quiet or you'll wake daddy," she whispered, knowing full well that the baby wouldn't really be listening to her... but it was nice to talk to her child all the same.

Sage stayed up for a while, letting Mari sleep. In order to heal, she needed the rest. And as often as the baby woke up hungry, he pretty much just stayed up for most of the night. He knew Mari would want him to sleep, but she needed it much more than he did right then, so he just took care of things. Early in the morning though, around dawn, the doctor took the baby to feed him, instructing sage to sleep. He stayed in the room, and had set him back down on Sage's chest once he'd finished the bottle and had nodded off again. Sage was almost asleep by then, but still wrapped an arm around the baby before slipping into a deep sleep, thoroughly exhausted by then. He noticed someone pick the baby up a while later, and the baby's coo that he'd already taken to mean he was hungry. He assumed Mari was up by then and was taking care of him. That, or the doctor was helping out again. Either way, the baby was fine, and he didn't have the energy to open his eyes anyway, so he sort of just drifted back into a sleep in a moment.

Mari sat with the baby for a little while, her hand gently propping his little head up as he drifted off to sleep... he still didn't quite have control of his limbs... but it was sweet to watch him try and roll about. She looked to Sage, who was sleeping peacefully. He still looked so peaceful when he slept... and he was gorgeous too. She reached to gently run her fingers through his hair, still holding onto the little baby. She did need to think about names for the little boy, though... she was sort of hoping it would be a girl, mainly because she'd had a name all ready for a girl. They'd settled in Lizzie, but they couldn't exactly call their baby boy Lizzie, now could they? She'd liked the name Silas, though, the more she thought about it... it's been the name of her grandfather. Her dads name had been Theodore, but Theo didn't seem to fit this little guy.

Sage sort of nestled into the girl subconsciously when she placed her fingers in his hair. It was a nice touch, and even if he wasn't conscious, he could still feel it. He stayed asleep for a while before shifting slightly and blinking open his eyes groggily to peer up at Mari and the new baby, his face lighting up with a soft grin when his eyes landed on them, even if it was a half asleep expression. "Morning," he hummed before yawning and stretching slightly before curling back up into Mari's side where it was warm and cozy. "Sleep well," he asked, hoping that his efforts weren't for nothing. "How do you feel?" She certainly looked better ....but she still had some healing to do.

Mari smiled softly to the boy when she heard his sleepy hum, breaking her eyes away from the sleeping baby for a moment to look at him when he curled up into her side. "Morning," she replied softly. She certainly looked better... she was almost glowing with happiness. She nodded when he asked if she'd slept well. She had. For the first time in ages, she'd actually slept well. Other than the baby waking her up, but that was nobody's fault. She looked back to the child after a moment, looking thoughtful. "I'm in pain," she complained with a bit of a sigh. "And I want to get a shower and actually brush my hair," she chuckled after a moment or two. "But better," she hummed happily. She then cocked her head at him. "I was thinking... we can't keep on calling him babe," she hummed with a bit of a laugh. "And if we could maybe name him after my grandfather? His name was Silas," she murmured after a few moments. Sage might not like it, and that was fine... they could always think of something else.

Sage hummed lightly when Mari said she'd slept well. He chuckled slightly when she said she wanted a shower and whatnot, and nodded with a slight grin. "We can head back today, if you're up for it," he chirped. He cocked his head when Mari mentioned the name of her grandfather, humming thoughtfully before nodding. "It does seem to suit him," he mused before grinning. "Silas it is," he chirped happily, glad to have a name for their little guy. He was glad Mari seemed better too, and wasn't so tired and everything.

Mari nodded to him before sighing. "We can try and head back today... I might be a bit slow. You might get a bit frustrated with me," she mused lightly before shaking her head, knowing Sage would put up with pretty much anything... well, she hoped he would, at least. She gave a big grin when he thought about the name then agreed. "Really? You like it?" She asked with a happy grin, looking down at the small child. "Little Silas," she babbled happily as she gently stroked the small child head, her smile lingering happily.
