Sage looked back at the baby with a nod when she said she didn't know what to name him. In all honesty, he didn't know either. He whipped his head back around to stare at the girl when she started crying, his heart climbing into his throat until he realized they were just...happy tears, and he could calm down a little bit. He sort of just hugged them tighter, his own eyes watering. He tried to stuff it all down, but when she started giving him affection, he broke down and buried his face into girls neck. "I love you too," he mumbled, finally relaxing a little bit. They were all alright....and soon, they could go back to their room and rest, and then show off their little bundle to anyone who'd listen. He wasn't sure if the queen would care, but he assumed Mari would want to show her the baby...and the older woman had seemed excited for Mari, so if she showed him to the woman, he didn't think she'd just sniff and turn her head or anything like that. He was so excited to show Anya, and he couldn't help but imagine how happy Maria family would all be when they met the youngest member of their family. After a bit, he pulled back enough to wipe his wet cheeks and let out a shaky laugh.

Mari chuckled gently when he started crying into her neck, a little bit amused that they were both in such a mess... they weren't even the baby in this situation. She wrapped an arm around his side and held onto him, almost as tightly as she was holding onto the baby. She rested her head on his shoulder once she'd managed to stop her tears, and just held onto the child... he was so gorgeous. She then looked to Sage with a cocked head. "Has the doctor been giving him formula or...?" she trailed off, still staring down at the baby, unable to keep her eyes off him. She didn't mind how the baby was fed, as long as she could care for him properly... that was all she wanted. She looked a little bit like her in his features, but he was definitely more Sage... and she certainly didn't mind that... with any luck, he'd grow up to be just like him too. She wanted to get back to their room... but in truth, she didn't expect she'd be able to walk very well just yet... but she could try all the same.

Sage cocked his head slightly at the girl's question, cuddling up into her happily when she wrapped an arms around him. He hadn't let go of her or the baby yet, and he didn't plan on doing that for a good while. He shrugged a bit sheepishly and shook his head. "I'm not sure how he fed the lad," he admitted. "He gave him to a maid or something right after he came out, since you were loosing a lot of blood and I was a mess," he mused. "But he doesn't seem hungry, so I'm sure the old man took great care of him while you were asleep." In all honesty, the rest was probably good for Mari...she'd needed it after such hard work, and her body had fixed itself for the day she was asleep. "Do you want to feed him? I can see if he has a bottle..." He kind of trailed off, not knowing what the girl wanted, or how she was mostly planning on feeding him.

Mari nodded lightly to the boy, still staring down at the baby. "I'd like to, yeah," she murmured, "before we go back," she then added. She hadn't put much thought into how she'd feed him... she thought she'd just do it naturally, but right now, when she was still feeling so shaky, that didn't seem smart... so a bottle would probably be better for the time being. She looked to Sage for a moment, then back to the child, gently running a thumb down his little nose. He seemed to be drifting off fairly quickly... and he was quiet so far, too. She looked to Sage once more before sighing. "Do you want to hold him," she asked gently... really, she just wanted to see was her fiance with her baby... she'd wanted to see that since the day she'd found out she was pregnant.

Sage nodded in response to the girls comment about feeding him. The baby didn't seem to be very hungry right then, so they could wait a bit. He'd wake up and be hungry eventually, and they'd for sure know when that happened. He was already falling asleep, so not bothering the lad would be a good thing, he thought. His eyes widened slightly when Mari asked if he wanted to hold him, and he nodded rather quickly, reaching his arms out eagerly. The girl transferred the little bundle over to him once he sat up next to her and sort of just...stared. This was his child, his and Mari's. And he was absolutely perfect and adorable and amazing. And he was holding the baby in his arms. It had been so long, and now he could finally hold him. Really, he was all he could think about right then.

Mari smiled gently and sat up a tiny bit, wincing at the movement but thrilled about the small child. She passed the little boy to Sage before tilting her head back against the headboard, a deflating sigh escaping her. She glanced to her fiance and the child, her small but tired smile still across her face... her heart pounded at the sight of the two. They were both so perfect... her little family was just so perfect... and the lengths she'd go to to keep them both seemed insane. She watched Sage gaze down at the boy with nothing but love, and she couldn't help but feel a little bit proud... her baby was healthy and safe. She'd done a good job. She still felt so awful... in pain and sick, but it was worth it. It had all been worth it for this little guy. She still didn't have a name for him... she couldn't think that far just yet. She rested her head on his shoulder again, still tired but not wanting to be away from either of them for a single second.

It was all sage could do to stare at the little boy cradled up in his arms. He was just so perfect, and amazing and....he was theirs. Amber would probably be delighted to have a little thing to cuddle up with as well. But they'd done this...created this little guy, and he didn't think he could ever love any more than this. Mari had definitely done a good job...it had been hard on her, he knew that, but he hoped it would dissuade her from maybe having another one, if they could. But that was far in the future. Right then, this little guy was perfect. He stroked the lads cheek with his thumb gently, and the baby let out a sleepy coo, reaching out from the blankets to grip the front of his shirt as his eyes drifted shut. Sage felt his breath hitch and a lump for in his throat...he was just so sweet and amazing. And he was his. His and Maris. He'd subconsciously started swaying back and forth, to let the baby sleep, though he stilled when Mari rested her head on his shoulder and smiled happily at her. "When are you thinking you'll want to head back to our room," he asked after a moment.

Mari watched the two for a while, a small smile across her face... she saw the look on his face when the nameless child grabbed his shirt, and her heart seemed to well with warmth at the sight. She loved them both more than she could ever imagine... it almost hurt her chest the more she thought about it. She rested her hand under the baby's head to keep him stable, considering he was still just so... floppy. It was really adorable. She smiled at his comment and just kind of shrugged gently. "I don't mind," she whispered quietly... though, she knew that it'd take a while for her to walk properly. The thought of getting up now was terrifying. "You might have to carry me," she mused gently.

Sage nodded in response to Mari, tearing his eyes away from the baby to press a kiss to her temple, a soft smile stretched across his face. It would probably linger there for a while. He chuckled lightly at her comment about him carrying her back. "I don't mind, you know that," he hummed. Then his usual joking grin formed and he giggled. "You carry the baby and I'll carry you," he hummed lightly. "We can go back later, after you feed him," he suggested. "Rest until then," he chirped, pressing another kiss to her head. Then he cocked his head slightly. "Do you mind if while you sleep I show Anya the baby," he asked heasitantly. He really wanted to show him off....but if Mari wanted him to stay, he could do that another time. He didn't mind.

Mari tried a soft chuckle to the boy before shaking her head. "I'm sure I'll be able to walk... I might just have to heavily lean on you," she then added gently. She had to admit, her whole body was still throbbing... and the thought of being on her legs at all frightened her. She wasn't sure if she'd be able to walk without falling to the ground. "Don't think I'd trust you to carry the both of us," she mused gently. She placed a hand on the side of the childs face. She looked up when he asked if he could take the baby again. She'd only just gotten him... and he wanted to take him away? While she was sleeping? All she wanted to do was hold him... hell, even handing the baby over to Sage had been hard for her. The thought of someone else holding him just seemed to burn. She felt her smile drop a little bit, though she wanted to make Sage happy... she didn't want him to give up with her. She'd be a lot of work over the next few days, and she didn't want him to give up with her. "I... yeah, if you'd like," she whispered after a few moments.
