Sage chuckled lightly and shook his head. "Oh please. You just pushed out an entire human being," he snorted. "You have an excuse to be slow," he chuckled lightly. He nodded lightly at her comment. "Of course," he chirped. "It's a great name!" It was a good name, and it seemed like it had some meaning too, which was always nice. That was the reason if he'd been a girl they'd have named him Lizzie. This was nice, though. (Bit short I'm out lol)

(No worries! I'm busy with lots of horses at the moment) Mari smiled lightly at the boy before chuckling. "Really? I hadn't noticed," she chuckled softly. "Thank god he's cute, too, because he messed me up," she then mused lightly before looking at the sleeping baby... he was perfect. She hadn't even thought she could make something so perfect... but Sage had helped, and she supposed that was where it all came from. "I think I'd pass out and never wake up if I had to do it again," she told him after a few moments, resting her head against his shoulder. "I'm glad you like it... it means he doesn't have to go by babe," she giggled lightly.

Sage chuckled lightly at Mari's comments and the joke about the baby being cute. They'd love the baby...Silas, now....even if he looked like the rear end of a goat. He knew that...and the thought was rather amusing, to say the least. "Well, you were closer to passing out and never waking up this time than I'd like," he admitted with a light chuckle, leaning into the girl when she went to rest against him. He nodded, though, watching the boy lay there sleeping peacefully. "He did need a name," he agreed.

Mari hummed in agreement to the boy. She looked to the child, Silas, for a moment, a smile unable to be wiped. He was a little funny looking, as all newborns were, but she still thought he was the most amazing thing ever to have been dropped on the earth. She then sighed at his comment before shaking her head. "I was so... peaceful," she murmured quietly. "It was kind of nice... until I became more conscious and realised I had a fiance and a baby to get back to," she chuckled softly to the boy. She then frowned to the boy with a bit of a sigh. "Sage, I don't think I can do that again," she whispered. She knew he wanted another one... but this had been terrifing for her, and the pain was horrendous... they shouldn't even be thinking about another child, but she felt like she had to tell him this now. She then looked back up at Sage. "Can we go back? I'd like to sleep in my own bed," she murmured quietly.

Sage hummed lightly and nodded. "Me either," he admitted with a sigh. "It was just awful to hear and watch...and I couldn't do anything about it," he murmured. "I knew something was wrong...but the doctor just sort of pushed me aside and went to work," he hummed. "Handed the baby off to someone, and that was that." He shrugged slightly and chuckled rather dryly. "I think going back would be nice," he admitted. Then he cracked a grin. "I've been waiting for a decent cuddle for months," he teased her.

The girl hummed softly and went to place a gentle kiss on the base of his neck from where her head was resting. "I'm glad you stayed with me though... I wouldn't have been able to do it if you hadn't," she told him quietly, flashing a small smile. "I don't even remember much if I'm honest... I remember him telling me about blood loss, but that was it... was there a lot of blood?" she asked with a slightly cocked head. It was a slightly morbid question, but she was curious all the same. She smiled and nodded at his next few comments. "We can get him all cozy in his cot... will you help me to the shower before we go for a cuddle? I feel gross," she hummed lightly. She then wrinkled her nose. "I tried my best! I'm sorry I couldn't cuddle in with a big lump on my stomach," she mused lightly.

Sage hummed and nodded with a slight sigh. "Well, you turned out alright, so it could have been worse, I suppose." He cocked his head slightly at her question and chuckled. "There was enough to make you pass out," he noted in a rather amused tone of voice. "I think you ruined half of the towels kept in the ward," he teased the girl lightly. It had been scary, really scary, but it was over now and she was alright, so he would rather joke than freak out about it. He nodded and smiled, thinking about letting Silas get all cozy in his cot. He'd made the crib, so it was nice to see it being used, he supposed. "Of course," he hummed. Then he grinned. "If it makes you feel any better, you're not as gross as you think," he chuckled. "Or maybe I've just been neglected and I'll take anything I can get," he mused, really just joking around with her and going back to the struggle to cuddle up with her big stomach. He wasn't upset of course, so it was fun to tease a bit.

The girl stuck her tongue out at him at his first comment. "Oh really? Jeez, I really thought there wouldn't be enough to make me pass out," she teased before pecking his cheek lightly, cuddling into his side a little bit more... her head still hurt, and she could imagine exactly how painful it would be, but she could deal with it... hopefully she would. "Ah, good, as long as I caused as much trouble for people as I possibly could," she teased again. She shot him a thankful look before shaking her head. He'd always tell her she didn't look as bad as she felt - but in this instance, there was no way in hell she looked even half good. "You just don't want to help me into the shower!" She accused playfully. "I don't neglect you," she hummed gently as she held him a little bit tighter... only just realising how weak she was when that movement took her so much energy.

Sage chuckled lightly at the girl's jokes and then shrugged. "Causing trouble. You did indeed do that," he hummed in a rather amused manner. Then he gave her a fake pouty look and huffed out a breath, though he couldn't keep up the joke for long before breaking out in a wide smile again. "Hmmm, I dunno," he giggled after she mentioned the shower. "I do think a clean fiancee would be best." They could have some fun though...nothing too much, obviously, but he could probably at least get some good kisses from the girl once they'd settled down.

Mari smiled softly to the boy. "Mission achieved," she hummed lightly before shaking her head. She hummed happily to the boy when he said he'd help her out... really she'd just need to lean on him a little bit. "I suppose you'd like to share a bedroom with someone who's actually clean," she mused softly. She wanted to feel clean, too... she really did feel disgusting. She wanted to cuddle up with him without feeling gross. He deserved to cuddle up with someone who wasn't gross too. "Come on, give me a hand," she asked with a soft sigh... this was going to hurt like shit. But she'd rather just get it over and done with.
