Sage chuckled lightly and pecked her on the cheek lightly. "I know," he hummed. "But I'll come if you call me either way," he pointed out good naturedly. He didn't mind staying out of her art nook ...he got needing a place to be alone for a bit, especially with a young child and all.

Maxine smiled "I know." she assured him giving a small sigh of relief giving a small giggle "Thank you again for building this for me..." she said gently "This room is incredible." she said happily "And so is the rest of the house." she admitted "You did a damn amazing job."

Sage chuckled at her first comment and then grinned, alibet a bit sheepishly, at her other words. "Well, having super speed abilities helped," he chuckled. "so is whatever I do to make lifting heavy things easy." He pecked her on the cheek happily and squeezed her lightly before stepping back, not wanting to leave Charlie unsupervised for long. "But I want my family to be happy," he hummed."so of course I'll build on what we have."

Maxine smiled and gave a nod "Good i'm glad." she said happily before she chuckled "Of course you will..." she said happily giving him a hug before letting him go check on Charlie who was now awake and babbling happily reaching her little hands out for her dad as soon as she saw him.

Sage chuckled and pecked max on the lips before heading back out to check on Charlie. The girl was awake and babbling happily, and the sight and sound brought a smile to his face. "hey baby girl," he chirped lightly. "Have a good nap?" He knew Charlie wasn't really verbal yet, but he liked talking to her anyway. And the nore he talked, the sooner shedlearn to talk too, he supposed.

"Dadaaaa" she squeaked happily babbling, every time they spoke to her she seemed to watch their lips and try to mimic them... Max guessed she'd be more talkitive very soon. "Maaama" she cooed looking around as if she were asking where her mother was however it was the first time she'd said mama. "Maaama" she squeaked again happily. Of course Max was hearing none of this... she was back in the art zone now with her earbuds in dancing around a bit as she painted.

Sage got a wide grin across his face and picked her up happily, before walking back over to Max's room. He slid up behind her and tapped her shoulder, and when she turned around, he held Charlie up, cooing "here's mama," to the girl. Charlie, in turn cooed "mama" again, which sage knew would make Max happy, and made him happy too.

Maxine jumped when he tapped her on the shoulder but was quick to take out her earbuds "Whats wr-" she broke off her expression melting when Charlie called her mama she laughed an scooped the little girl up from her fathers arms twirling her around and praising her "Yes!" she chirped "I'm your mama!" she squeaked happily hugging her daughter.

Sage laughed happily at Max's reaction and watched his wife and daughter interact, eyes shining. The two of them...well, they were his world, and he couldn't imagine having never met Max, having never had Charlie. He could imagine having let Max die....which was something he didn't wasn't to imagine. The sight of the girl struck by the truck and torn up plagued him at night still. He'd kept it fairly well hidden, that and many other nightmares not wanting to wake Max, who was up with Charlie enough.

Maxine laughed and looked at Sage "Oh this is so great." she chirped "I was starting to think you were going to say everything else but mama missy." she giggled kissing her daughters face playfully the little girl giggling in response "I can't believe she's damn near a year old already..." she admitted looking from Sage to her daughter "You probably don't understand this yet but you're going to be a big sister." she cooed happily dancing around with her "You are gonna have... hopefully a little brother to talk to." she giggled happily.
