Sam | 21 | Horse(s): Sir Visite, Sigmundr | Dressage, Rodeo | Lesson Rider | M: Open for Interaction ~~~ Stepping out of his ute, a Ford Ranger, Sam quickly surveyed the surrounding area. Sam slammed the door, unintentionally, and gave himself a fright. Turning his back to the ute and his trailer, he looked down at the piece of paper given to him. Cabin C and his roommates' name is Fabian. Presumably a guy, he chuckled to himself. Walking around to the back of the van, he collected his two lead ropes and then walked around to the back of his trailer. It was very dusty, and every step he took stirred up some dirt. Opening the door to the trailer, he clipped on both of the lead ropes. |

"I think that everything... Oh, wait.." Zomi reached into her jacket pocket and pulled out the paper the receptionist had given her. "Seriously.. I just walked around the whole area to figure out where everything was.. and there was a map on the back of the paper?" Zomi sighed and face palmed, When she was under pressure she did have a habit of losing her memory, It was a bad habit and she honestly didn't know how to fix it. She wondered if the other riders were having a better time than her, It seemed even her horses were already well situated. Why couldn't she be?
Zomi felt a strong temptation to tack up Aspen or Whisper and head out on a relaxing ride, Yet she didn't know the trails yet and didn't want to get lost in the forest- in the middle of nowhere- with no guidance. She shrugged and approached Cabin H where she and Heather Storm would be staying, Zomi opened the door to the cabin and looked around. It was quite nice, Although she was already at the cabin, Zomi decided to hold off unpacking any tack in case Heather Storm wanted somewhere very specific to place her tack, And of course, she wanted to make a good impression for Heather Storm as she would be her roommate.
Zomi wondered if they were able to go into town and purchase decor for their cabins, She would defiantly have to ask but just in case they would allow it Zomi grabbed her notepad and a pen and started jotting down ideas, Of course, she'd have to make sure her roommate would even be okay with it but apparently that didn't occur to her at that moment. Zomi was quick to catch onto her mistake, She had promised her mother she'd call her once she was settled at the Stables. Zomi quickly pulled out her phone from her pack pocket and tried to dial her mother's number. "Shoot. No signal." She sighed, Yet not wanting to give up she exited the cabins and raised her phone mid-way into the air to try and catch a signal.
A signal sparked the once-empty internet bar with full bars, Zomi felt relieved as she dialed her mother. "Hey, mom!" She said, a bit over-enthusiastically. "Hello, How's the Stable?" judging from her mother's voice, she seemed a bit disinterested, maybe she was busy? Zomi paused before replying. "I think it got even prettier from last year, I'm super excited to teach!" She heard her mother respond with a firm "Mhm, That's great." an awkward silence filled their conversation, "Hey I'll call you back later, I'm a little busy sorry." And with that her mother hung up, Zomi just sighed, What more did she even expect from her mother?
"Heyy Rachell!" After her mother hung up on her she decided to call her childhood best friend Rachel. "Heyy!! How're the Stables? Is Aspen and Whisper okay? Ooo, How're the arenas?" Zomi snickered, "First off, The stables are great, Aspen and Whisper have defiantly adapted quicker than I expected, and the arenas are amazing!" She could hear Rachel speaking to someone, And almost decided to hang up. "That's wonderful, Im sorry Zomi but Im kind of a bit busy here, So I'll call you back later. Okay? Byee!" Zomi sighed before putting her phone away, Hopefully, that wasn't an excuse to just hang up on her... |

On the contrary, they were relaxed, considering the circumstances. Pausing, and taking his map out he surveyed it. "Left, right, then another right...." He mumbled, trying to figure out how to get to his barn. He stuffed his map back in his back pocket, and then led the two horses down the dirt path. After a couple of turns, he spotted the dining hall, where he could already see a few people gathering. He continued walking and soon arrived at the entrance to the barn. He went through the barn until he came to stalls 31 and 32. He led Vissie into stall 31, and Mundy into stall 32, and let them get settled. Then he started to explore. |

Fabian sighed with relief when he saw a red truck pull into the driveway, he went in side and claimed his stuff and rushed outside to the truck, "Hey! Hey! Here!" Fabian said waving his arms around at the truck and it stopped, Fabian came up to the truck, "Thanks mate" he said, the driver nodded and Fabian made his way to the end of the truck, he unlatched the trucks gate and saw his beautiful mare standing, tied, at the far end of the truck, "hey girl" he said moving up to her, and untied her, He led her out and rubbed her neck, "alright time to find your stall" |

Catherine Johansson | 18 | Horses: Ice Road Trucker(Trucker), Dreams Come True(Dreamer) | Rodeo, Show Jumping | Intermediate Rider | M: Open | - A 1998 2 tone blue Ford Pickup pulling a 3 horse gooseneck horse trailer, pulled into the drive of Golden Satchel Stables. Catherine Johansson smiled as she parked the truck.
- Catherine got out and walked around to the trailer. She opened the tack room and grabbed Truckers teal lead, and Dreamers Lavender lead. She closed the tack room on her trailer, then walked to the back of the horse trailer. She put down the ramp and opened the doors. -
There, standing in the trailer where her 2 beautiful horses. Trucker nickered to her, as she clipped the lead to his halter. She slowly backed the young gelding out of the trailer. CJ then tied him to the side of the trailer as she unloaded Dreamer. -
CJ clipped the lead to the mares halter and slowly backed her out too. After the mare was out of the trailer, she held her head high and snorted loudly. She looked around at the new place. CJ led her next to Trucker and tied her there.
- After she tied the horses, she brought them each a filled hay bag and a bucket of cool water. She looked down at the slip of paper that was handed to her appon arrival. She was assigned to Cabin I and her roommate was Sylvia Woods. Her assigned stalls were numbers 27 and 28, in the big barn. - CJ looked at the map and found where the Big Barn was. She looked to her horses. "Ready guys?" |

Fabian led Ellimere down to the big barn, he followed the instructions of the map to help him out. Fabian strolled down and found stall 6, he opened the door and retired Ellimere to the stall, he made sure she was comfortable with her cooler rug, he checked her halter and pet her neck, "alright behave girl, I am going to find my cabin" Fabian said, he pulled the map out of his pocket and smiled as he saw his cabin was not far from the big barn, Fabian hefted his duffel bag over his shoulder and walked down the track towards his cabin, Fabian looked around he saw people walking around with bags and their horses, 'must be new here, like me' he thought, he ran his fingers through his black hair and stepped up to the cabin, he twisted the door knob and smiled as it rolled open, "sweet" he said in awe as he walked in the cabin, he sniffed at the air, it smelt like dust, but he could see it providing a home-like feeling. Fabian put his bag down on the ground and slipped off his shoes, he wanted to save the claiming moment for when he met his roommate, nervous about sharing a cabin with somebody, he walked around, exploring the area, it had a nice vibe, a comforting one. |

Seeing it was crumpled, Sam frowned slightly and tried to uncrumple it against his thigh. Frowning at the piece of paper, he looked at cabin C's location. He passed the barns and other cabins and came to the door. He knocked, then swung the door open. His roommate, Fabian was standing in the middle of the room, next to his bag. "What bed do you want?" Sam asked. It wasn't a matter of importance to him, but it was polite, and Sam wanted to make a good first impression. Looking around the cabin some more, it seemed quite barren. Just 2 beds and a couch, as well as some other amenities. Suddenly he heard a knock on the door. "'cuse me-" he said to Fabian and went to open it. It was his friend James, who had taken his bag over. "Shots..!" He said to James, nodding his head. "Thanks, mate, talk later yea?" James nodded, before leaving and closing the door. Turning back to his new roomie, he apologised and placed his bag down. |

With the newly acquired paper slip in his hand and barely contained excitement, Nicholas heads back to his truck. The dirty white trailer attached held Bear, a giant draft horse. "Ready to see your new home, Bear?" He calls to the horse as he opens the trailer. Bear stands contentedly, just eating his hay and glancing at his new surroundings. Nicholas slips Bear's halter on and attaches the lead rope. "I'll take you to your new stall so I can see my cabin." Nicholas takes out his map and makes his way towards the big barn, patting and talking to his horse along the way. |

Fabian frowned at him, "um, yea I will just take this bed" he said dumping his bag on the bed on the right side, "I suppose you already know my name" Fabian said without looking at Sam, he turned and looked around the cabin once more, then blew the hair out of his face with a gust of breath, it may of been nice in here but Fabian itched to get outside, only problem was that Sam was in the doorway, Fabian turned and gave Sam a nervous smile. random drawing of Fabian & Ellimere: |

Zomi was standing outside of the cabin trying to figure out what to do, Maybe she could go on a ride? But that thought quickly evaporated as she looked around to see horses being led not ridden. She wondered when her roommate arrived so she could claim one of the beds, After much debate.. she decided to get her lesson plan sheet from the receptionist.
Zomi was midway to the building where the receptionist was still hard at work when she fell into the dirt, "Stupid rock." She dramatically sighed and then got out of the dirt, It seemed like nothing was going well for her... While other riders were embracing the Stables she was being her clumsy old self again.
She finally arrived at the building and stepped in line again, After what felt like 20 minutes she reached the recidivist once more. "Hey, Could I get my lesson plans?" She questioned the lady, Without a further word the woman handed her another sheet of paper. She thanked the woman quietly before whisking off out of the crowded building.
(Sorry this is a little short, I wanted to get a response in before I head to school/college) |
