There was a small silence before he finally finished his original thought. "But I can't. Not now that Zach does. It's not fair to him. So I won't. I won't love you. I'm sorry." Cole sniffled, unsure of why he apologized.

Lili sits up, wiping away the tears that had formed in her eyes. "W-What?" She studders softly. "Y-You still love me?" She asks, a single tear falls down her cheek. She looks down toward the floor and sighs. "But.. but you broke up with me... because you didn't love me anymore... and now you're saying you do?" She asks, sniffling quietly.

"I was scared and I was stupid." Cole admitted. "But Zach will do better than I did. He always does. He shows me up in everything without even trying and then apologizes as if he's ruining my life. But really it's kind of funny, just proves how much of an idiot I am."

Lili looks down. "You.. You aren't stupid Cole..." She admits, looking back up at him. "I am... for falling for someone else as fast as I did.." She murmurs softly.

"Don't hurt him please...thats all I ask. I know he acts like he hates everything but sometimes he doesn't. Mind you it's only sometimes. Zach isn't exactly the most optimistic person on earth, though I assume you already know that." Cole let out a nervous laugh.

It wasn't long before the familiar face of Quinn, a vet Cole had grown particularly close to after having taken both Boston and Holly to her appeared in the doorway, not having to use words to call him back to the room. He simply knew, standing up and grabbing Holly before looking back at Lili. "You can stay or come, I don't care."

Lili sighs softly. "I... I promise I won't... I'm not that kind of person.." She murmurs then sees the woman. She nods and stays sitting. "I.. I need to think about something for a moment.. then maybe I will come back." She pauses. "On second thought, I'll just come." She says softly, standing up next to Cole.

"Mkay." He shrugged, stepping into the thin hallway and following Quinn.

"How come she's so upset?"

"He's...gone." Cole knew she'd understand, and the moment he let out an uncomfortable sigh she let out a small gasp.

"Oh no...are you doing alright?"

"Not at all. Kind of a mess but I'll get over it."

Lili walks with then and gently rubs Cole's back.

He already knew the room, and hadn't even needed Quinn to tell him as Cole headed inside and set Holly down on the table, stroking her gently.

Lili sat in a chair in the corner and watched the lady examine Holly. "I-Is she going to be okay?" She asks softly as a tear falls down her cheek.
