Adina|Mare|4|Mated: No "Maybe you will again." she said gently "Only time will tell won't it?" she smiled though it quickly turned to a frown as she listened to him and nodding her head along, she knew about strict parents despite disobeying their orders anyways. Afterward she offered a smile "Well you're away from them now right?" she said "And... despite what your mother may think... different isn't a bad thing." she'd assured him her voice gentle and soothing as she'd seen his ears pin back when he spoke of his family "You don't have to worry about conforming to whatever they want any more." she reminded him happily. Adina smiled at him "Of course you did! you were the first friend I ever had!" she replied with a laugh. He truly had made an impression on her, when they were young it was more having someone to play with that they both had probably enjoyed the most... but now something was different, it was like she was seeing him in this whole new light but the part of her that was still a child was simply happy to have her best friend back. When he approached her she smiled and sat patiently resisting the childish urge to splash him like she'd done when they were young, she didn't want to add to his fear of the ocean. When he spoke again she chuckled "Not much as far as your true personality... its been buried for a little while but it's shining through a bit..." she admitted with a smile. When he asked about what she meant she lowered her gaze seeming to go deep into thought for a few moments before she returned her gaze to him "It works differently below the surface." she said "Some are fortunate enough to be able to choose their own mates, some aren't..." she said gently "Destined to be together vs arranged are two different things, unlike your kind where some have multiple mates that isn't allowed." he said "Under the surface "Destined to be together" means... well just what it sounds like, when we find whom our heart belongs to its as if there was never any other options." she explained "When we choose our mate... its for life, We ever only truly love someone but once." she said gently. "When or if a mate of the stud and mare's choosing were to die before their time... the widdowed mare or stud never takes another mate." she told him. "In losing a mate we lose part of what makes us whole." she explained "Its such a deep bond that its indescribable..." she told him "I haven't been fortunate enough to experience it myself... but i've seen it and its beautiful..." she said softly a moment of silence passing between the pair of them for a moment "Being arranged rarely works out in the betrothed's favor... neither the mare nor stud love one another but in order to gain more respect, dignity and strength for their pod." she told him "Thats not about love..." she muttered bitterly "Thats about wanting more power..." she grumbled slapping her tail in the water with a huff her ears going back in an irritated manor though those few moments of irritation didn't last long as she fixed him with a gentle gaze and laughed "Nevermind that though... do you believe now that you're not the fool that your mother made you out to be? That i'm not simply the imaginings of a lonely colt...?" she asked him. |

The stallion shifted his weight in the sand as he listened to her trail on, he couldn't help but smile when she giggled. It was like her voice could light up the whole world. He felt someting odd within his body, but he couldn't really say what that feeling was. Maybe it was the way she smiled... or the tone of her giggle... or how the sun seemed to glisten off her calico pelt... or how beautiful she was off land... or maybe for how childlike she seemed.... such positivity. Audits swilved forward as he rose a brow before they softly furrowed.
He stayed quiet while the mare explained the life of her kind. At times, he would bare his teeth but, patiently waited for her to finish. "So.... let me get this straight" as he cleared his voice, he was obviously confused and trying to understand it all. "So only some of you are able to choose your mate? How is that?" as he soured up his frame "and If you find the one, you all are mated for life per say... and if one of you passes. You never take on another mate? There is no herd with multiple mates ether?" he paused as he trailed his hues over her face, to read her reactions. He almost wondered if she had a mate herself, but by her words it didn't seem like it. "So... your kind. I assume you all just mate with one another? How come I never seen any more liek you before?" he rose a brow. All of this was very intriging to him but, still thought what he was seeing was strange.
He allowed a chuckle to escape his muzzle as his audits perked "I think I can believe it. Still so strange... I guess I did have a true friend back then. To be honest.... I almost never wanted to return" his hues feel to the sand, nostrils flared some before he glanced back to her "I guess we are all a little made here" he grinned shyly. Adina|Mare|4|Mated: No Adina looked at him "Well it depends on if your family has made arrangements yet... some colts and fillies are chosen right at birth." she replied "I was chosen at birth and so was the colt I was suppose to mate... but as I grew older and realized I was never going to find the one my heart truly belonged to... I did both the colt and I a favor and I... I left home." she replied softly "I was about a year and a half old when I left home." she told him "And honestly... I don't have any regrets what so ever." she admitted "I get to find my love in my own time and hopefully so does that colt..." she said gently though she perked up when he asked his questions listening to them with keen eyes, she'd never met a surface horse who was so curious... then again they didn't really know about their kind so she should have expected him to be curious. She simply smiled and nodded "Yup!" she replied "When we find who we love we're so devoted to our mates it forms a bond for life... a bond so strong that even if one should die they still have the love of their mate forever." she said "Which is why we don't ever take on another mate, if we have foals we look after them but no we never take on another mate... and a stallion doesn't have more than one mate in a lifetime." she told him. "I will admit there are a few that take that bond for granted... but as far as I know they're few and far between." she told him. She giggled at his next question "No we don't just mate... we look after one another... have roles in our pods each of us are destined for roles in the heard, protectors, nurturers... things like that and then there are those like myself who are... undetermined." she said with a chuckle "Though again they're few and far between" she replied. When he asked why he hadn't seen any of her kind but her she chuckled again "Well i'm a little more... adventureous then the others..." she replied "And of course more willing to break certain rules... such as the one where we aren't allowed to surface." she smirked "As i've completely ignored from a very young age." she teased playfully. When he said he thought he could believe it she couldn't resist any longer... she smirked and playfully swished her tail and splashed him playfully though it wasn't a lot of water that landed on him. She couldn't fight the childish urge to splash him any longer. "Do you believe it now?" she teased a playful light in her eyes adding to her already playful smile and body language as she giggled looking quite pleased with herself. |

 |Stallion| Age 3| Sparrow| Mated: No.| The studs audits seems to perk forward and lay naturally between every sentence the mare spoke. He stood there, taking it all in. Trying to get a good grib on everything... things still felt strange speaking to a friend after so many years.. he wondered if he could still feel the need to be friends for her. The sounds of waves crashing in the deep and the squaking sounds of a few seagulls that flew overhead, had the stud at a trance, his brown hues was still focused on the mares face but, yet his mind was elsewhere. Her words seemed to travel into his ears, yet he started to focus on the calming sounds of the ocean...
Bobbing his frame some, the stud shook from daydreaming as he felt the cool waters of the ocean being sprayed at him. Grumping up his frame some with a roll of his hues as he looked down at his shoulder that now had soaked drops splatters on it as he flicked his attetnion back to the mare. Audits swivled back before perking some, he chuckled with a shy smirk of his own "Yes. I do" he snorted. He shook his pelt even though there wasn't enough water that really got on him, he at times could be more dramatic. He rose a brow "I have to ask.... aren't you afraid this stallion by now, you are so post to mate with.. might find you?" he studied her actions for a moment as he stepped closer to her, his warm breathe circled the little space between them "Sucks that it's forced but, seems you have been claimed and all... but, hey. That happens out here sometimes" a flash back of his father claiming more mares when he was younger traded to his mind. Huffing some, he rose his frame, softly pulling his muzzle back away from her's creating more space betweent them as he shifted his weight. "How come you aren't allowed to surface or talk to us? Seems sorta of silly seeing as you can come onto land" he shot her an intruiding smile as he took in her sweet salty/coconut scent, it almost sent a shiver down his spine as he held her hues warmingly with his. |

Adina|Mare|4|Mated: No Adina let out a warm laugh and smiled up at him "Good" she smirked playfully as the waves rolled over and past her the sound of the waves and the gulls above was soothing and having Sparrow back in her life made it so much better. When he mentioned the stallion she shook her head "Not at all... like I said nobody is quite as adventureous as me..." she chuckled "If my kind... well aside from me." she chuckled before continuing "If any of my kind are out of or away from the water for any reason I'd say there was something desperately wrong..." she replied "And besides... I freed that stallion from a life of misery... if anything he owes me a favor." she smirked playfully though it had taken her a moment to realize how close he'd gotten to her. She could feel his warm breath circling the air around them and it felt... comforting having him so close to her. It took her a moment before she spoke again "I-I erm..." she stuttered lightly "I don't count that as "Claimed..."" she replied her voice dropping to a quiet somewhat sultry whisper as she looked into the eyes of the stud that is until he backed off a little, she nearly spoke out in protest but didn't have the chance to when he spoke to her once more. That snapped her out of what felt like her trance-like state some. She heaved a sigh and looked at him "It is silly..." she admitted "But we don't come to the surface because of reasons like that other stud..." he said "Mother always told me the surface world was dangerous... that- that surface horses were barbarians... but I didn't believe her..." she smirked playfully "Turns out she was half right... but clearly not fully right... I mean look at you? you saved my life not once but twice and you didn't know who I was until now..." she said softly her nostrils flaring lightly to take in his scent as well, he smelled like the mountains they'd just traveled from... the grass and the trees... and it all mixed well with the salty smell of the ocean on his pelt... it made her feel even warmer and more at home and safe... and she loved it. |

I just noticed our stable colors are opposite but, same colors haha I had the green/blk for years... I needed to change them :p)

The stallion felt himself flush red at her last words as he moved his frame to look away, brown hues looking shyly down at the golden sands. "Eh.. I'm nothing special" he snorted out short. Pausing for a moment, he soured his face in almost disgust at himself before moving his frame back to her. "Some stallions are jerks but, we all are not that bad. I mean there is more to us then just mating and herd life. There' mares out here too, not just blood thirsty studs" he smirked playfully. He shifted his weight to stand tall "There's more out here than just some ocean..." as his words softly feel quiet.
Plumage swished behind him in the gust of breeze, "I didn't mean to make you feel like you was claimed... I just figured he might come for you.. some studs get big headed that way" he huffed some. His hues found himself tracing her body once more, the details, from her hooves to her tail. Orbs softly got wide when he realized she had a fish tail, he had almost forgot, audits softly swivled back, as he stared. 'I wonder if she would ever leave here?' 'What if this stud did come back for her?' 'Bararians!?' 'Is it hard to look at her in this form but who am i to judge?' he spoke these thoughts to himself, as he lost himself in a trace once more. He soon came too as he rose a brow and tilted his frame "How do you all ma..." he paused as he flicked his hues back to her face. "Umm... Nevermind" he snorted quickly. "So... you really like the ocean huh?" he smiled some quickly changing the subject. |

Adina|Mare|4|Mated: No Adina rolled her eyes when he said he wasn't anything special "I think you're wrong." she said with a smile watching him, taking careful note of his reaction when she'd mentioned the other stallion. She looked up at him when he mentioned the ocean she smiled "I'll get you to love the water again like you once did." she assured him "Perhaps you can teach me a thing or two about the surface world?" she suggested happily as she looked up at him "What do you think?" she offered tipping her head to the side curiously. She looked away shyly "You didn't" he assured him with a chuckle, she didn't even realize he was staring at her once more, when she finally looked at him she looked bewildered at the question he had seemed to want to ask but he'd clearly thought better of it... and if she were honest... she was glad for that, it was hard enough explaining the other things to her but that- even if he'd asked there was no way she'd ever be able to think of how to respond to that let alone feel comfortable replying to that... even if she could find the words! She looked away shyly and gave a nod "I do... its in my nature." she replied sheepishly before glancing back up at him "This form is too distracting isn't it?" she asked him gently "How about I go back to being on 4 legs instead of 2?" she suggested with a warm smile. (oop awkwardddddddd xDD and lol np :D if you need a change change it... though I will say a nice green and brown or brown and black might look better with your stable set... but of course your choice xD) |

He felt rather silly for of course she would love the water, feeling rather embarssed he stepped away from the mare, sighing softly as he lowered his frame to the sands, "I don't know about that..." he snorted, commenting about his used to be love for the ocean. Plumage flicked as he rose his frame once more, peeking over to her, he rose a brow and was almost excited "Really?... are.. are you sure?" he furrowed his brows "I thought you couldn't really be out of the water" he huffed some with a stink eye expression on his frame, as if the playfully mare was up to no good. There was a brief silence before he grinned "I guess I could try my best to show you some things". When he got excited she giggled and nodded "Only if you're willing to let me help you love the ocean again..." she said happily her voice a mere purr now. "You show me your world... and I'll show you what I can of mine." she said happily "And to answer your question... I can be... I just need to figure out my limits..." she replied "When I passed out before it was the first time I was ever out of the water completely." she explained "I over exerted myself... and with that being my first time ever without water touching my hooves... it was just too much for my body to handle." she explained with a smirk. When he agreed to show her things she smiled at him "I'd love that." she chirped happily before she gave a small laugh "I don't mind at all." she assured him gently "Just give me a minute and i'll be back I promise, weather you believe it or not... I promise you i'm real." she assured him gently, and with that she turned herself and with a few flicks of her tail she vanished under the waves. Within moments after she ducked under the water her white head emerged from the water along with about half of her vaguely dappled body as she strode casually toward the shore shaking off a little when she stepped onto the shore. She looked over at him and smiled turning so he could get a good look at her horse form before she approached him "So then..." she said gently "What would you like to show me first...?" she asked happily. |
