Elise's eyes showed a certain hesitance as Scott called her name, not entirely wanting to confess that she had never lost feelings for him. It was pretty embarrassing, honestly. "Go...go ahead. Don't worry about me."

She sounded emotionally drained, and over every aspect of her life. It was as if all the positivity she mustered for Scott the past two years had drained her of true joy, and she had little left to give. As great as it was at times, Elise's tendency to wear her heart on her sleeve was currently causing her to be greatly troubled with little support system to comfort her. Truly, it was as if in one second, one moment, Elise's entire life--her entire dream was snatched from her, and she was doing her best to cope with the shock. Like Rhynn but in a much different way, the entire basis of her sanity begged for an explanation.

"She?" Katrina's words were slightly mumbled, but the accusing tone she wore did her no favors. Widening her eyes a little, she simply stayed in silence, she hadn't meant for her thought to be accessible to Elise nor Scott. Nor did she have a right to know what was happening in Scott's life these days. Shaking her head gently, which made her all the more dizzy which caused her to cling tighter to him, she apologized, "sorry, it's none of my business anymore."

Just at that moment, the two pairs met up again, this time with an older man whom was assumed the medic. He was gentle and calm as he let Scott put Katrina down in the grass and ran through a few simple tests. "She seems okay, and I could handle stitching that nice little gash up on my own, but I think it'd be in yours--and the stables--best interests if you went down the street to the Fair Oaks Med Center for a quick brain scan--just in case, to be extra sure."

Katrina's face showed a great amount of protest, but with one firm glare from Rhynn, the Latina complied. "Is one of you available to take her, or should I call one of the staff?"

Shrugging, Rhynn answered, "taking her sounds like a lot of work, but, I'm not doing anything...I guess..."

Not feeling confident in that answer, the medic scanned the rest of the group. "Does anyone want to accompany them for moral support?"

Scott looked back up at Katrina. "What?" He chuckled a bit but before he could say anything more, Eli, the other girl Scott didn't know, and the medic arrived. He listened to the medic speaking and when he asked if someone would accompany Katrina, Scott spoke up. "Yes." He said without hesitation. Elise seemed a little off so that was a no. Eli, definite no. The other girl? Scott didn't know her so no. "I'll go." Besides. He needed to explain that he was talking about his sister.

Katrina looked up at him with a wary glance. "Scott-"

"Good choice," the medic said with a wistful, strong tone, once again cutting Katrina off. "I'm assuming you know where it is?"

Rhynn shrugged, not caring one way or another. "So now what? I go settle into my room or whatever? Nice."

Still laying on the ground in a peculiar fashion for the middle of a nationally acclaimed equestrian center, Katrina looked weak, but her tone was almost motherly towards Rhynn, and forceful enough to sway her actions. "No, if he absolutely must take me, you have to take over whatever he was doing before...this..."

Her tone towards Scott held much reluctance, for time alone with him seemed like a poor choice at this moment. Confessing how badly he had damaged her seemed like an impossible, extremely undesirable task, especially since she was the one who had left the farm using her own free will. If she had the opportunity to exercise that free will in her current state, she'd likely run again, perhaps not away from her new workplace, just away from Scott, which meant running away from another chapter in her past, her feelings, and, well, her whole life.

Eli turned to Rhynn. "Oh yeah, we were doing so much before all this." He lied. He just want that girl to get what she wanted.

(argh I'm really sorry that it's so short. I'm a bit brain dead after today xD

"It's down the road like ten minutes, take a right off the highway and it's five minutes that way...I'll write down the exact address."

As Katrina watched the medic write something on a piece of paper, she started to become more and more anxious. Being in the car with Scott of all people was absolutely the last thing she wanted. Why was he even here? How did he get here? When did he get here? Not only her worries about Scott, but she was certain they'd hold her for some ridiculous reason, that did seem to be the norm with her and hospitals. Truthfully, she hadn't been in one since she was a little girl as a victim of third degree burns from the barn fire. It was something she never thought about, one of the many things swept under the rug she hated to think about.

Handing the slip of paper to Scott, the medic wished the pair well and headed off towards another call. It was then that Rhynn spoke up. "Ughhh, fineee. Sounds boring. And annoying. But if I musttt." Stopping and looking intently at Scott, she added, "oh, and why do you get to take her, romeo? You don't even know her real name. You keep calling her Katrina."

Katrina glared intensely at Rhynn in a way uncommon for her docile personality. She didn't have much strength at this point, and she kept using her hand to wipe away blood which only caused it to smear everywhere. "We will talk later."

Lashing out, the young woman replied, "oh yeah? Like all those times you said you'd tell me about your past lives and why you never sleep? And all those ten hour night runs?"

Now feeling dizzier than ever, Katrina completely ignored Rhynn and focused on Scott. It was obvious she was paling and wouldn't make it too much further independently.

"Well you're gonna have to suck it up buttercup." Eli said coldly. He suddenly regretting his decision to have this girl along with him and Elise.

Katrina didn't look good now, but Rhynn wasn't backing off in the least. "And what about the nightmares? And I've never seen you eat more than like half a meal a day--"

"Rhynn." Katrina was literally barely standing on her own at this point. She turned back to Scott, a pleading look in her dark brown eyes. "Scott, please help me out of here."

Scott nodded to Katrina and lead her away. "Hey, um, sorry if I confused you earlier. The girl I was talking about was my sister, Adria. She decided last minuet that she wanted to come with us." Adria was a pretty fun person and he thought she would fit in well with the girls. She could get over excited though.

"Oh," Katrina's reply had two meanings, and two tones. Firstly, she felt relieved. Then she was annoyed that she was relieved. She had tried so hard to convince herself that Scott wasn't a good fit for her but she knew that it was her feelings for him that she had ran away from initially. Secondly, she tried to brush it off like nothing. "Yeah, I'm sorry about that. I had no right to barge into your personal life like that. And I'm sorry about this, too, not how you had wanted to spend your day I'm sure." She was vague, not really owning up to the past. Not ready to.

As they got in the car, she sort of let it rest in awkward silence. She assumed he had probably moved on a long time ago, never thinking about her again. It wasn't right in her mind to assume their relationship would carry on like it always had.

Scott started the car and revised the adress. "Ok, I think I know where I'm going. Hopefully we don't get lost." That would be disastrous.
