Katrina nodded reluctantly, seemingly wanting to refute his gesture but not finding it within herself to want to be alone, either. She looked at him, a gentle smile reaching her eyes. It was uncommon for that to happen to her, to truly feel happy. Yet, Scott was here, standing in the same room as she. By choice, even. A really foreign feeling hit next. She came to the realization that she had missed him.
"I bet she's driving him crazy." With a quiet laugh, she added, "the only reason she's here is because she snuck into my horse trailer without me knowing." A fond smile took over her generally pained features, a hint of a smile still in her eye.

Scott chuckled. "That sounds like something my sister would do. They'd probably get alone well." He finally sat down. Might as well if he was staying. "Yeah, I bet Eli is about to blow his top." He added with a small laugh. Eli was a particularly, irritable person. "I'm just glad he's at least a little sociable now. Finally getting over Kristine after three and a half years."

It felt normal to converse with him, like no time had passed. "I'm glad he's finally getting over her. I remember how upset he was. It's crazy how much love can damage someone..." Was she hinting at herself? Maybe. It wasn't a reply she had filtered, simply something she blurted out. By this point, she was far too tired and emotionally drained to not think her mind.

"Yeah..." Scott said. He knew what that felt like. "It also didn't help with our mother's passing either. That hit him real hard." Indeed it did. Scott had never seen Eli more upset that day. He paused a moment to relay information to his brother through text message. He chuckled at Eli's rude retort. "Eli basically says he's suffering."

Katrina chuckled, drowsily replying, "I'm not surprised."
Vaguely, Katrina recalled that this was not the first time the pair had been in a hospital room together. Last time, though, she had recalled that it was Scott and not her in the bed. (That happened right? I think? XD)
"So," she broke the silence, "do you still have Dante?"

(Oh yeah it did! Scott went on the trails at night and hit his head on a tree and fell of Dante xD Then Dante was running around frantic in the morning xD)
Scott nodded. "Yep. Still have the goofball. I thought he'd be less of a nut case as he got older but he's pushing six and still the same." He laughed. "Which still isn't that old but old enough to not act like a yearling." The black gelding was at the stables now with Eli's mare, Vaek. Probably bored out of his mind right now.
(Broooo Fool Around and Fell in Love is playing right now xD

That's so funnyyy. Okay and then I have a question/idea? So I thought perhaps the setup of the barns could be one ten-stall barn per two stablehands, within that one is a rider/trainer and one is a stablehand/groom type? In that case, who do we want with who, and do we want to add more characters? I had thought of the idea that Elise was one of the trainer types working with the foals, then Katrina was working the resale barn as a rider as well, Rhynn is definitely a stablehand and will probably fail at it, but it might be more fun to watch her fail without Katrina there to save her xD Brain dump done, looll))
Katrina nodded, a small smile gracing her pretty face. "Some things never change."
It wasn't soon after that the nurse came in and wheeled Katrina down the hall in a flurry, sending her to the isolation of another room in which company was forbidden as the doctors worked. It was only then that she began to fully realize the magnitude of what the future had in store, and that was terrifying. -- Meanwhile back at the farm, Rhynn hadn't stopped pestering Eli as they worked. The questions seemed endless, and she had no concept of the annoyance she was being. After a brief period of silence, she, again, began interrogating, "so, what was Katrina like when you knew her? How long ago was that? Did she go on crazy night runs then too?"

(That would be cool! Omg Eli and Rhynn have to be in the same barn xD That would be too funny LOL)
Scott had been moved into the waiting area so he wasn't in the room completely by himself. He sat quietly in the corner and simply stared at the floor, thinking. He was worried about Katrina and worried about having to spill how jacked up he was for two years. He was going to have to share that shameful part of himself eventually. Today had been a major turn of events. What did the future hold? -- Eli rubbed his face in annoyance. Does this stupid girl ever shut up? He thought bitterly. "I never really talked to her all that much but the last time I saw her was two years ago. Don't know anything about night runs. I think she worked at a local bar close to the stables though."

Yes i am sooo in. I thought up a new character, maybe a love interest for Scott when Katrina breaks his heart for the... thousandth time? XD so they could go together. Then that leaves Adria (If she's working), Elise, and Katrina. I don't care how that gets distributed, if you have any ideas, I'm in, preferably not Elise & Katrina together cuz I separated them so I won't have to write them by myself all the time XD if you want to make a new character that'd balance, then I don't care who is with who :D -- "Nooo," Rhynn's voice trailed off, obviously eating up every small morsel Eli gave her like casserole. "Katrina?" She lowered her voice to a whisper, which was definitely not a whisper, seemingly louder in volume than previously. "At a bar?! But...she's...so...no, you're messing with me. I don't believe you..." Turning away, she found her way back to him like a magnet, thirsty for more information. "What was she doing working there? Oh, wait, I have one that I NEED answered..." pausing, she looked him dead in the eye, "why did your brother start crying and whatever when he saw Katrina? She refuses to tell me anything about her past lives..." -- After an incredibly long night, Katrina was finally released from the hospital around 2am. Beyond tiredly, she met Scott in the waiting room with a sleepy smile on her face. She wanted to apologize, to talk to him, to do something to fix things... but wasn't it futile? Hadn't he already moved on, barely noticing her disappearance? Hadn't he moved on easily? Wasn't it true that the only reason he had taken her was because the other offer was an immature nineteen year old who needed constant mothering?
Sighing, the sleepy smile remained on her face, but it never touched her on the inside. Seeing Scott in his new life had made her feel lonelier than she had ever felt in her life, and it wasn't a welcome feeling.

(I can make a new character :3 Adria is going to work but, unlike Scott and Eli, she hasn't ridden a horse before. She know a whole lot about them but has never been in the back of one. Mainly because of her dad lol Adria will probably be a stable hand) Eli sighed. "Might as well answer your stupid questions. Not like you're gonna shut up." He said sourly. "Anyways, Katrina and Scott had a... let's just say, complicated relationship thing. They were never an official thing, but anyone with half a brain could see straight through. When Katrina left, Scott didn't take it so well. That's all I will say about it." He didn't want to reveal any of the shameful parts of Scott's past two years. That was not his story to tell.
--- Scott looked up when he saw Katrina. Despite how heartbroken he was, he delighted in seeing her again. It brought back memories that were good and they could finally be brought to the surface instead of pushed to the back of his thoughts. Never actually leaving. The drinking merely served as a bandaid for a night and would be gone in the morning. Scott smiled back and stood up. "Are you all set to leave?" He asked calmly. (sorry I fell asleep xD Oh! and Vell saw that we brought back these old stories and I was wondering if we should let her join in with Kate! Eli's new love basically xD I think it would be fun! We're bringing the band back together!!! xD)
