Amber looked at him "since your were five?! How old are you now?"

He blinked and frowned, thinking. "I - 17 I think. Not really sure. Like I said before, I've been out there since I was 5. Time kinda blends together."

"Huh fair enough..I know I am actually 17, my mother brought be here to try be registered the day after I was born but they couldn't because of the law or some shit like that" amber shrugged "The nurse wrote down my birthday though as well as my name"

He shrugged. "Birthdays don't really matter to me. It's more a matter of surviving each night." Then he snorted. "And deciding if I actually want to."

"I dunno my birthday the nurse randomly says "happy birthday your ... today!" Like I understand or care when my birthday is" she snorted.

Amber looked him "only since you were five?" She quizzed again

He nodded. "I ran away from home. My parents were...not the nicest." He jerked his thumb to the scar over his eye. "My mom gave me this, and my little sister ended up being killed, so I took off. Been living out there on my own ever since."

Amber blinked at him "I was born on the streets to a poor ass mother and a rich as fuck dad..my dad stole me when I was a couple of weeks from my mam so I would have a comfortable life but the idiot became bankrupt a few months later so HE ended up on the streets and then my mam stole me off of him! And it kept going on and on like that until I was like 7..I went to a park and never turned around..I just kept going" amber trailed off her face was expressionless

He grunted. "So we're both in the same predicament there, then." He shrugged. "Life can suck. But it can also not suck so bad at times, and that's really why I'm still fighting."

Amber shrugged "when I don't wanna fight no more I come here" she looked around the room "I love to learn so I come here to learn medicine, it's a helpful thing I life"

He grunted. "So you still have faith in humanity then, huh. I gave up on people a long time ago."
