Amber giggled and left the room to find the nurse again "bye..stay!" She shouted as she left. The nurse went to the room "enjoyed your food Sage?, I wasn't quite sure what to get you" she looked at the plate still mostly full of food "want me to put it in the fridge for later? Or do you want to keep it here?"

Sage shrugged again. "Don't care. It'll take me a while to actually finish it. And like I said before, I'll eat anything. It's not dug out of a trash can or something so it was good." He started throwing a ball at the wall and catching it and throwing it again, bored.

The nurse left again for a second and came back with board games "maybe this might cure your boredom..?!" she handed him the games "I'll get Amber to come back and show you how to play" she smiled and went to get Amber

He grunted and continued chucking the ball at the wall. He wanted up and out, but he also knew that if he took off right now his wounds would probably get way worse than they already are.

Amber walked back into the room with a not so happy look on her face. She wanted to help the doctor not play board games with the boy who growls. Amber pulls out the games snakes and ladders and teaches him how to play however when she was explaining, she said them with complete sentences. She explained how to play chess too, she also pulled out a pack of cards from the drawer next to the bed and showed him some card tricks and games like solitaire.

He was actually interested in the games, which said a lot. He usually didn't much care for anything except trying to find food or surviving the night. After a while of playing, he glanced over at the girl. "So you're joshing with the doctors. You can talk. So why don't you?"

Amber side eyes the boy while fixing the cards "I-I Don't mean to" she says eventually "when I'm stressed or terrified I go mute basically, I can't help it" she shrugged "I feel safe here..always..hence he always says 'full sentences' " Amber pulled a face.

"Huh. Well, who am I to judge," he muttered. He leaned back against the bad frame then winced slightly and leaned forward again. "Do you know why those people picked you up off the street?"He cocked his head a bit curious.

"I was hurt, the doctor brought me in to help me get better and I got to help him with his patients and so I come back here every once in a while" she looked up when she remembered he winced. She got up and stood beside him "may I?" She gestured to his back

"Huh? I guess..." He really wasn't used to being touched - unless he was fighting but it always ended in pain. But he figured this girl wouldn't hurt him. She seemed....nice.
