Heather Proudstorm | 17 | Beginner | Nightmare "Prince" | Mentions: All

Heather would be a bit lost in thought, her eyes focusing on the sky a bit since she lead both her horse and her dog over to the patch of grass, off the gravel of the parking lot. This place is so huge and quite...rich looking. I wonder if Mom is proud of me...I know that my stupid step father isn't but he has no say in what I want to do. Prince would be munching on the grass but he stayed kinda close to the young girl while the German Shepherd curiously looked around, standing next to the brunette until movement caught his eye. Looking straight at what caught his attention, his tail started going as happy vocalized whimpers started to sound out of his muzzle, showing no signs of aggression unlike the Gelding who just now raised his head to look over, already pinning his ears as he loudly snorted as if it was enough to snap the girl out of her thoughts. "Hm?"

The brunette turned her head, glancing over to see what they were both looking at. Raising an eyebrow, gently petting the large equine's neck while keeping a firm grip on his lead, doing her best to calm the agitated equine down.

Alden Camden | M: Heather

Running a hand through his thick hair, Alden glanced at his sister that was attempting an introduction with a man he hadn't seen before. He assumed it may be a new student and decided to let her do her thing. While she was talking to the dark haired male, she looked past his shoulder and Alden followed her gaze to a lone girl standing in the parking lot. He sighed through his nose and got the hint immediately. With his siter being busy he would have to handle other new comers to the stable.

Long legs carried the tall male towards the distracted girl, and noticed the reaction from her horse before he had even got close. Eyeing the pinned ears and annoyed posture, he was wise enough to get take the hint. He stopped at a distance that was good enough for talking casually, but far enough that he could dodge if the horse lunged at him.

Alden kept his demeanor relaxed in hopes that the horse wouldn't grow more agitated than it already was, hands in his pockets as he smiled at the girl. "Welcome to Belle View. The name's Alden. Did you miss introductions?"

Keenan O'Brian | Western Instructor | M: Brooke

The rattle of metal and crunch of tires is the only alert to a belated arrival. A shrill neigh as the truck and trailer stop, the flashy black and white duo seemingly threatening against the otherwise cheery day. A click from the truck door and a tall man stands grinning, placing his black felt hat atop his head, matching the rest of his outfit from shirt to boots.

Keelan O'Brian makes his way around the trailer, unlatching the back and letting the ramp drop to the ground, although slowly. The large horse inside lets out a shrill hello before fidgeting his way around. It takes but a gesture to get the oddly-patterned horse positioned correctly and tied outside to stand calmly. Keelan closes the trailer, going to attend to his horse. The equine in question, a large and muscular creature, took upon the appearance of a dapple, most of his body covered by the black and white-trimmed blanket; embossed with a silky thread were the words "Danny Boy", positioned perfectly at the corner by his haunches, and of which matched the plate on the cheek piece of the halter. The pair were a sight, the large stallion prancing in place as the equally dark-clad man cooes softly.

It doesnt take long for the horse to settle and stride calmly beside his rider, settling for snorting and extending his neck out to sniff curiously at passing objects. Keelan pats the horse as they wait, speaking happily with a grin as he searches for the owner, deep voice calming, "Settle down my boy. Stand here." He removes the blanket, revealing the expressive clash of dark bay and grey as he folds the fabric, stashing it neatly in the trailer tack room. Once everything was situated at a point it could easily and officially be put away, he makes his way over to a young woman who gave off an air of being in charge, "Brooke, right? I'm Keelan O'Brian, newest member of your team, and can I say proud to be. This place looks amazing, even better in person. I'm sure Dan and I are going to settle and fit in nicely." He extends a kind hand and offers a warming smile to the woman.

Brooke Camden | M: Keelan

Startled by another new face and his brazen introduction, Brooke was almost taken aback by his forwardness. Normally she'd be the one bringing the energy to the room, but this man seemed to embody it and put her to shame, despite all of her years of practice. She accepted his handshake while answering his question, "Why yes, I'm Brooke. Pleasure to meet you, Keelan." Heat seared her cheeks when her eyes met his, and it took all of her willpower to not tear her hand out of his firm grip.

Trying to shake off her sudden awkwardness, Brooke smoothly took back her hand and raised it to cover her eyes from the blinding sun that was now in the middle of the sky. She looked at it briefly before looking to Keelan again. "It's about time that most of the student's were situated in their stalls and rooms. But most of their introductions were completed about an hour ago." Trying not to ramble, the ebony haired female that was usually composed was now appearing rather flustered when talking to the man in front of her.

She waved a hand in front of her face as she cleared her thoughts. "You're more than welcome to take today to get acquainted with the grounds. I'm sure you've checked out the map provided on the website for making your way through the stables, but I can answer any questions. The students don't start lessons until tomorrow, but Alden and I will be riding with Joslyn in about an hour or so if you'd like to join us." Brooke tried to sum all of the information as neatly as she could, but could not help but become even more red from her fumbling words. She was barely halfway through the day and was already mentally exhausted.

Heather Proudstorm | 17 | Eventing | Nightmare "Prince" | Mentions: Alden Camden

Heather watched the tall male approach her while continuing to keeping the gelding calm, the brunette was kinda small compared to the equine because of his height. Prince didn't seem very pleased with Alden's presence while Toby on the other hand didn't mind the man's presence at all, the dog's tail continued to wag while he stayed seated next to Heather's left side since the tall horse was on her right side.

When Alden finished speaking, the young girl gave a shy smile. "I guess so, I didn't realized that I got here late. I'm sorry." She nervously apologized, keeping a firm grip on the gelding's lead rope.

"I'm Heather. It's a pleasure to meet you, Alden." She politely introduced herself, she had her hands full since she isn't able to shake hands with the man at the moment. Prince's muscles relaxed a tad bit but his ears remained pinned against his skull with narrowed eyes.

Anthea Moss | Female | 18 | Beginner | Mentions: All.

Anthea sharply inhaled, a disappointed look crossed over her face, followed by a slightly more submissive posture from the tall equine who she was staring down. With a frown and a furrowed eyebrow, she approached the fence, plotting to make herself known to this strange horse, who obviously thought of himself as leader of the show. Anthea let out her hand, nothing was held in it, still the stallion cautiously sniffed it for treats. With a smirk, she placed her palm over the stallion's forehead and rubbed it down. "So.. Florian(It's Latin or Greek for Flower, thought it'd be perfect for his name, Crocus), pleasure to be of your acquaintance, I am Anthea, your new owner!" She said with a delightful twitch, as she ruffled his mane.

Crocus Wing | Florian
Crocus Wing had bashfully kicked out at the girl who had just approached, she found it amusing, which soon fell to a frown and disapproval. His mindset quickly changed and he fell into a softer position, granted a hand for him to sniff. He liked it and sniffed, disappointed when he didn't find anything. She had placed her hand on his forhead, it sent shivers down his spine, her touch was soft, he could feel her confidence, her hand was smooth, then she introduced herself.
The halter jiggled upon her touch of it, it seemed to grab her attention quite fast, it seemed odd to him, how fast her expression had melted, her hand moved from his wide, black muzzle. Anthea.. Am I supposed to obey.. Her? The thought twinkled across his odd mind, floating off into one of his many unanswered questions that have compiled in his memory. I guess.. It might not be that bad. Right? The smell of her coffee dropped him from his thoughts, she was taking the last sip, an odd suckling sound came from the small tube which she used to channel the liquid to her mouth. Then she walked away..

Keelan O'Brian | Western Instructor | M: Brooke

Keelan shakes his head, hands going to rest on his hips like that of a sassy southern mother, "You've been through quite a lot this morning and my energy wont be good for it, so just enjoy your ride. I just thought I should introduce myself. I'll see you around, Brooke." With that, he tips his hat in a goodbye, striding confidently back to his horse, his introduction over almost as soon as he said it.

Back with his horse, the man couldn't help but baby talk the animal, and with packet in hand, he leads the horse to his stall, occasional praise along the way. Once there, it doesn't take long for him to find the placard with Dan's name on it. Keelan places the rope over Dan's withers, watching pleasantly as the horse leads himself into the stall. Once the door was shut, and secure, he stops to admire the barn. It was a work of art how those that created this place made it both elegant yet matched the rustic scenery around it. We'll fit right in.

With that in mind, he hurries to gather and put away his stuff, making sure he matched the setup throughout his tack room back home: Perfectly organized and easy to grab whatever he needed. His main task finished, he figures allowing Dan to stretch his legs and work off some travel energy wouldn't hurt. He consults the map for the nearest arena before folding and stuffing it into his back pocket, snatching the bitless bridle from a peg.

Dan seemed pleased to see his owner again as he lets out a happy nicker in greeting. Keelan smiles, sliding into the stall. He switches the halter for the bridle, leading the stallion back outside. It doesn't take much for the man to successfully vault onto his horse, settling into a decent seat considering he was bareback. He makes his way to the arena, easily opening and closing the gate from his horse. Dan seemed excited for this as well, what with his eyes and ears studying everything he could. The pair start off with a walk, only making it a few paces before ultimately ending up at a slow canter. Dan's head lowered, and Keelan was sure to allow as much slack as needed for the stallion to stretch on his own terms. It was a slow day, clearly relaxed, yet the pair seemed focused. Any passerby could see that, despite it being for leisure, there was a remarkable competitiveness to it.

Brooke Camden | Assistant Manager | M: Keelan, All

Brooke waved farewell to Keelan and sighed, bringing her fingers to rest on her nose as she mentally dragged herself back together. She had to remind herself to keep her manners in check and immediately straightened her back, turning to walk confidently into the leftside barn to begin tacking up Red for her lesson.

Noticing her absent brother, Brooke assumed he was still handling the new girl she saw earlier. Hopefully he was handling it properly... Since Alden was busy and time was of essence, she went to Chance's stall and slid his door open. The gelding popped his head up in alarm before recognizing the black haired female, he then went on to ignore her and munched on his hay. She grabbed his leather halter and forced it onto the unwilling bay gelding. Struggling to drag the boy out of his stall, she let out a huff after managing to slam the door after him when he stepped into the aisle.

Brooke grumbled under her breath about what a pain the ass Chance was, as much as she loved on her brother's gelding, he was a glutton for food. She finally managed to grab and halter Red in her stall, much to the mare's annoyance at having to deal with Chance's poking. Brooke led the two horses down the aisle and brought them into two grooming stalls; Red on the right and Chance on the left. She left the two to go grab her grooming supplies and hoped that the two wouldn't fight while she was busy.

Alden Camden | Student | M: Heather

Alden noticed Heather's shyness and tried to keep a friendly smile, he wondered if he was coming across as weird. He gestured behind him and said, "The leftside barn has a board in the tackroom that shows assigned stalls and pastures. There are some stalls that are free for you to choose from, if you want to go and claim a good spot before others do." Unlike his sister, who liked to hear herself talk, Alden preferred to keep his sentences short and to the point. "If you have any questions you can talk to an instructor or one of the managers."

Placing his hands in his pockets, he nodded goodbye and started to leave towards the left barn. Before he was halfway there, he threw over his shoulder, "It was nice meeting you, Heather." Confident strides brought him past the large double doors of the barn and down the aisle to Chance's stall. He saw it empty and went to check the cross ties, thinking that Brooke had already retrieved the gelding.

When he stopped in front of the grooming stalls, he watched as Chance lunged at Red across the wooden beam separating the two. A loud squeal ricocheted through the barn, the mare throwing her head back in dismay. The tall male shook his head at their antics and decided to ignore them as he turned on his heel to go into the tack room.

Anthea Moss | Female | 18 | Beginner | Mentions: Brooke, Alden, Heather, Keelan.
After having introduced herself to a horse she felt silly, the way his head dipped seemed odd, her hand feel loose from his face, then off, she sipped the last drops of her coffee and walked off, looking to the barn that Brooke had pointed to, she started speed walking to it she was gonna find Florian's lead, then she remembered where had no damn clue what to do with it. She saw Alden with one of the students and decided not to pester him with questions, then Keelan and his horse passed by. Realizing she looked ridiculous she stopped speed walking and veered in the direction that Brooke was walking, she entered the barn and watched Brooke handle Chance, trying to memorize what all she did. After Brooke grabbed her grooming stuff, Anthea approached rather slowly. "Uhh.. Hi Brooke. I don't know how to handle Florian.." She said awkwardly, with a chuckle, awaiting instructions.

Brooke Camden | Assistant Manager | M: Anthea

Lithe hands gathered her grooming supplies that were safely stored in her wooden "locker". There were ten of them aligned on the wall, each one assigned to a boarder or student. The lockers were built into the inner most wall of the tack room, with the pasture and stall board on the opposite side. There were mutliple benches situated throughout the room for riders to change their footwear or lounge around in their free time. A similar room is located in the righthand barn, mirroring the layout of this one.

After grabbing her tote bag full of the necessary supplies, Brooke left the tack room through the open doorway and passed her brother on her way out. She noticed Anthea standing around looking lost, a lead in her hands. Nodding when the girl spoke, Brooke dropped her bag next to the wall where Red stood in the cross ties. "Alden, tack up Red for me?" Alden popped his head out of the tack room long enough to acknowledge her question before disappearing.

Brooke led Anthea back out to her horse, taking in the intricate wood architecture they walked past. She adored the design of the stable. It made her feel warm and cozy, despite how it might make one feel claustrophobic from the dark hues of the wood beams and floors.

When they finally walked outside, Brooke took a deep breath to take in the afternoon air. Her eyes scanned the paddocks and noticed all of the horses currently turned out appeared content and happy. Her boots clicked as they made way through the parking lot and trudged across the freshly mowed grass. She nodded to Anthea to follow her when she opened the heavy gate of the Friesian's paddock.

She brought her fingers to her lips and let out a shrill whistle. The black Friesian in the distance perked his head and came trotting over curiously. Fishing into her pockets, Brooke brought out a couple of horse biscuits and turned to Anthea with a wink. "Whenever you go to grab them from their pasture, bring treats. They come running and learn to associate being "caught" as a positive instead of a negative." The ebony haired female gestured for the girl to halter him, waiting to see if she knew how to put it on the stallion.
