Maximus||bachelor||M:The duo,herd,Xylo
The sun was at its peak, supplying the earth and its inhabitants with life-giving warmth. Animals such as ants and snakes scurried through the tall grass in search of food.
Above the plains- perched on a hill that sloped into the plains - stood a large seal brown stallion, his long black mane swishing in the air as a small breeze flutters by. His nostrils flare as he takes in a breath, lifting his snout slightly to get a better quantity of air. The impending smell of horses and grass was laced into the fall breeze’s joyous arrival.
The stallion was observing the area, keeping an eye out for possible danger that may be lurking. A loud neigh catches his attention, as if wishing to answer his curiosity. Calmly, Max turns his head to the sound - very distant shapes of horses. He studies the shapes for a few moments with his honey brown eyes before soon returning to his previous occupation a shape of a lone mare drinking from the creek. |

Feliz | Herd Mare | Mentions: Laufey, Aztec, The Herd. - Feliz was not out of breath, she had more room to run. But panic was seeping through her veins and she started getting confused, unsure of where to go. She started doubting herself and wished to be under the protection of Aztec and the herd. She was brought out of her thoughts from the thundering hooves. He circled her before she had a chance to escape. She kicked out and tried to run before he come in front of him, bit he was circling to fast. He thinks he's won. Pride in his selfish eyes. She pinned her ears and looked for an escape route. "I'll never follow you." She scoffed the word 'you', she jolted forward and ran like she was going to attack. Quickly swerving, she tool off at a gallop, aiming to run off behind him. She mostly succeeded, managing to bolt out from behind him and take off, like she had wings, heading over hills toward the east. |

Xylo | Lone Mare | "The Muse" | M: Feliz, Maximus. ♠ Xylo’s right ear twitched and twisted as the distant sound of other horses. Her head swung in that direction allowing her light blue gaze to sweep over the nearby land. She saw nothing and continued walking, her tail swishing behind her. Hesitantly, she moved her head so that she was staring forward again. Her gait changed slightly as the ground beneath her hooves changed from grass to rocks and mud. She noticeably slowed her movements as she navigated around the bigger rocks and the muddiest areas. The last thing she needed was to take a tumble here, which, embarrassingly enough, she’d done before.
After a couple of minutes of slow and easy-going movements, she finally stood directly by the water. Sluggish water bubbled around her hooves, as she lowered her muzzle to the water and parted her lips. The water was cool and fresh, like normal. Xylo’s throat bobbed slightly as she took big long gulps of the water, completely and effectively replenishing her thirst. Once she was satisfied she raised her head once again, turned, and began navigating her way back onto solid and flat ground.
In just a few minutes, she was headed back towards the evergreen clump she had just emerged from. Perhaps she would settle down and get some rest in the shade for a while. However, a glimpse of movement caught her eye as she saw not one, but two horses. The first equine she saw was dark in color, and was at a stand-still a little ways off. She couldn’t tell if it was a mare or a stallion, nor was she too concerned. However, the second horse she saw was dun in color, and seemed to be making a hasty getaway. The mare wasn’t coming towards Xylo. It was more like she was angling away, but at the trajectory she was taking, she’d run right by where Xylo was.
Xylo watched, with mild interest, before she broke into a choppy, uneven trot. She had no intentions of interacting with this mare. In fact, she had no intention of interacting with anyone. She simply wanted to get back to the evergreen cluster she had been residing by for a while now, so she could stay out of the way.
If trouble wants to come to me, it shall on its own accord, but I do not intend to seek it out, she thought bitterly. |

Maximus||bachelor||M:The duo,herd,Xylo
Curiosity got the better of Maximus as he ventured down the hill into the plains at a sure quick paste trot, heading toward the mare he had been studying for at least a day now.
Quickening his paste to a canter he huffed giving the Mare a good amount of space, but made sure she could still hear him as he caught up matching his paste to her's "Why hello there" he whined his words filled with sweetness. "It's finally nice to meet you as I've been watching you for afar and I think no one deserves to be alone" he continued bobbing his head up and down as he talked "so, I've decided to make my presence known to you and maybe gain a friend from you." He sped up so he could step infront of her stopping her in her tracks, "my name is Maximus but you may call me Max my'lady" he said in a tone as if she was a queen and he was her faithful knight, putting his left front leg out as he lowered his head toward it on a horse like bow.
playfulness danced in his honey brown eyes as he picked his head up once again. |

Frostbite | Lone mare | M: Maximus, Xylo Frostbite carefully stepped over to a mare and stallion talking. Frostbite could never just let a strange stallion trot up to her, unless she would get over the trauma of her two foals getting killed. But the thought of her foals always left a mark on her. Frostbite kept her distance and grazed for a bit, watching the playful stallion and the mare. Frostbite thought to herself It wouldn't be that bad, right? He would just let out a harsh squeal if he didn't want me near him. Frostbite thought about it but she saw in the corner of her eye the mare giving a confused look. Frostbite headed over to a big tree for some shade and gazed at her big belly, carrying her future foal. Frostbite went over the thought of the stallion killing the foal because it wasn't his. But she distracted herself and said "He is too friendly to do that". |
