Laufey | The Duo | “The Trickster” | M: Aztec, Feliz
Laufey was prepared for the mare's charge, bracing himself so he only didn’t fall over when she rammed into him. He snorted angrily and leapt forward, ramming his body into the mare’s side much like he’d seen deer do when charging each other. Quickly he twisted away, kicking out towards the mare’s front half and cantering towards the dun mare he’d separated, seeking to only drive her further away. However, he only pursued the chase for a brief moment, spinning about to face the blood colored mare, pawing the air. He expected her to get desperate or to at least start second guessing herself, given it was her own mistake that led to one of her own being separated. All the while he tried to keep some of his attention on the dun mare in case she fled, not wanting to chase her down across the plains. |

Teluva | Lone Mare | M: Laufey, Aztec, Feliz Teluva started in fear when the stallion who had previously faced off against Aztec. Her nerves had reached a somewhat high point, but she had yet to find that courage she always had, hidden deep inside her. Sometimes, it was extremely difficult to find that courage, but in times of great danger, it came to the surface. This however, was not such a time, and she shuddered as the stallion drew closer. The combined stress of being surrounded by such a large group, and the possibility of being captured by a bachelor, was very difficult for the grey mare. Rarely had she ever been in such a circumstance before, and she dearly wished that it could somehow get better. Her hopes were nearly shattered when she caught sight of the stallion attempting to draw away a dun mare, who Teluva had recognized as Feliz, one of the mares of the herd. The risk of being next entered her thought, and she attempted to find her way closer into the middle, seeing the threat of the bachelor as a more important issue than her own comfort. However, it didn't stop her from becoming more and more uneasy as she inched her way into the most condensed area of the herd. |

Aztec | Herd Mare | "Undefeated" | Mentions: Laufey, Feliz, The Herd. ♧ Aztec retaliated from her own impact on him, taking a sharp breath, then being slammed into, pushed her to her knees, she almost tumbled. His hooves rose, making contact with her chest, she let out a quick heated breath, coughing. She wanted to save the dun mare, they had been friends and she wasn't going to let him take her. She gritted her teeth, standing to her full hight, she stumbled to walk but walked back to the herd, her chest ached, but she turned and bolted toward him, leaping to where he should've been leaped cleanly over, then she held out her hooves, striking him on the back. An awkward landing surpassed the sight of most, the leap she had made was the last thing she could think of. Her knees had been scrapped, they bled slightly, failing to get up, her legs were weak, she wasn't very light and it had injured her beyond what she could confidently fight with, but she was willing to. Her eyes scanned his body, welts would grow from the impact of her hit, she watched his reaction, preparing for his retaliation, though she was not standing, and out of breath. ♧ Feliz | Herd Mare | Mentions: All In the Area. ♧ Feliz ran out, past her comfort zone. She whinned out to Aztec, someone, she was deeply terrified. She watched Aztec walk to the herd, she must've been in a terrible pain, No! Don't leave me with him! Why would you give up?! She screamed in her head, her ears pinned, were lifted as Aztec turned, galloping to the Bachelor who was causing her trouble. Her jaw unhinged, parting her lips as Aztec made a leap of great magnitude, her hooves landed on his back, causing him pain, welts. Aztec hadn't fallen well, her knees were bleeding from the impact, she had failed to stand multiple times. Her eyes flitted from Aztec and Laufey to the herd, she wanted to run, something held her back, she did not feel safe, she looked to the large muscular stallion and the second half of the duo, she neighed, fearful of them, they were all to close and she couldn't back a way back to the herd, she trotted further out, she might be able to outrun him. She glanced behind her, it might be safer out there for her, she couldn't decide and backed away, her ears pinned, her eyes and ears twitched, the Bachelors had caused her sorrow, she didn't want to fall into their traps. Looking to the herd she made a small bow, I am truely sorry.. I cannot stay, goodbye my dearest herd.. Retreating to the hills, she bolted, running from half a mile, not realized her scent, it was blatantly obvious where she had gone, but it was her only hope of escape, though she would later find out that her attempt to escape was futile. |

Luna | Herd Mare | American Paint Horse | Mentions: Herd, Open Luna would be peacefully grazing in another herd, taking a step forward as she felt safe so far. She raised head, her ears perked forward when she turned her head to look over as she heard the sounds of the commotion. Even though the young mare was curious, she didn't dare leave the safety of the herd as the fearfully memory of her first encounter with a Bachelor stallion when she was a yearling haunted her til this day. The mare let out a quiet puff of air out of her pinkish grey muzzle as her nostrils flared a bit, her muscles nervously twitched while her black tail flicked at a pesky fly trying to land on her. Luna turned herself around, beginning to walk to walk a bit deeper into the herd for more safety reasons but her thoughts ran rapidly like an unruly tide that she couldn't escape from in her mind, she still feared the day of one day of not being able to get away from a bachelor stallion. Luna halts once she find another grazing spot, staying in the middle of the kinda large herd. She lowered her head, beginning to graze once more, flicking her tail at the pesky flies again as she kicked at her belly with her back right hoof at another fly that tried to go to her underbelly before slamming her hoof down on the grass covered ground. Her ears swirled around a bit, just listening carefully to the surroundings. She raised her head up from grazing then she started to emerge from the herd, accidentally leaving the safety of the herd as Luna was about to graze in another spot, mistakenly letting her guard down as the mare had created some distance from the said herd. She halted before lowering her head but instead of grazing like she tended to do, she pawed at the ground a bit with her front left hoof before carefully tucking her legs under her as she laid down then started to roll around for a bit to smell like the area. Once she was finished rolling, she placed her front legs in front of her then hoist herself back up on all four of her legs, shaking herself off a bit. Causing her multicolored black and white mane and forelock to be a little messy. |

Laufey watched the mare retreat back to the herd, his attention drawing to the dun mare. He hadn’t expected the mare to attack so quickly, head turning at the sound of hoofbeats only to see the mare jump over him. The blow from above knocked him down, legs folding as he fell forward. His back ached, needles of pain shooting through his body. Enough to know that he’d be regretting it later, but not enough to stop him from moving. With a grunt he forced himself back to his feet, eyes falling upon the mare. He eyed her, debating whether a retaliation was truly necessary when she was already unable to get up. He didn’t get the chance as he watched the dun mare run off, ears pinned flat as he flicked his tail. Now I’ve gotta chase her down, of course. His gaze returned to the herd, debating whether trying to draw out another mare was worth it, especially if their protector was down. He did know he had time before he’d have to go after the dun mare, unless it started raining. He chose to stay, angrily eyeing the now fallen mare before moving away to circle the herd. They had to be nervous now, with their protector struggling to even stand. |

Teluva | Lone Mare | M: Laufey, Aztec The lone mare's anxious attitude gradually became more noticeable as she watched the battle between Aztec and one of the Duo. The whole herd had been paying attention in some way, and had paid attention to every part of the battle, knowing that without Aztec, the herd would be in much greater danger of being captured by bachelors. Teluva, along with the others, had felt a rising fear as Aztec suffered a blow, falling to the ground. She wanted to help, but she knew she would never be able to defeat the stallion, and leaving the center of the herd would create a high chance of being caught by the bachelors. Seeing movement, the grey mare turned, and watched the dun mare race away. Desperately wanting to follow, Teluva had to remind herself that she would be a weaker and easier target if she did. Shaking her head in frustration, she brought her attention back to the bachelor, who was now circling the herd. Everyone was getting nervous now, and the uneasy movements of the herd gave rise to the urge to run. Suddenly, Teluva caught sight of a chestnut mare, a loner like her, rear up near the herd. What is she doing? Is she trying to get herself caught? Teluva thought, confused by the mare's behavior. She was still wondering about the mare's actions when she noticed with a jolt of fear that she was on the very edge of the herd. The others had moved away from the stallion, leaving her no longer at the center. Panicked, the mare raced back to the herd, her white mane flying in the air as she attempted to regain the safety she had lost. |

Aztec | Herd Mare | "Undefeated" | Mentions: Laufey, The Herd, Feliz. ♧ Aztec pushed herself to stand, it wasn't even half the pain as soon as she stood. Her head tipping to the side as she stared off to the herd, gathering the last of herself, fully intending to chase him away. Her hooves beat the ground, her head low, trotting towards the Bachelor. She lifted her head and barreled toward the Bachelor, not stopping even if he didn't move, pushing into him and kicking her knees up to his chest if he stopped moving. She bit his neck and flanks repeatedly, forcing him away from the herd, if he tried to go back to the herd, she would ram him and block him, and repeat the process. She ignored any pain that she experienced during her attack, she would do whatever she could to get him away from the herd, and mostly Feliz. The docile dun mare, who he'd been forcing from the herd. |
