(If you Disobey You get.. the Boot.) (Or just a warning-) Setting the scene of the beginning. - It's the afternoon, the dew is all dried up now. The sun is splayed across the plains, the vast hills offer no shade. The tiny clouds sputtered across the land didn't help much either. 4:49 P.M. A random day in the warm fall months is where the story begins. In Nevada, a strange year, not yet 100 years since the humans came to the land where the horses lives, but they did not interfere with the horses. Time passes like a blink of the eye, don't let it fool you. After decades of peace throughout the wild horses, A Competition arouse among the Bachelors. "Who can capture the most mares?" The question remains unanswered to this day, the winner's prize was never an option. Soon the horses started figuring out the bachelor's bet, and soon they all paid the price of living in the plains. Many foals and some mares, many stallions and their heirs, passed in the cruel years. Some stallions gained hatred, some, favor. The bachelors soon found how they attack. In herds, where some figured out it was easier to work in a pack, some big, some large, yet others work alone. There became a partnership among this, two stallions. No-one has known if they are brothers, or simply strangers, making the most of their competition. This story, starts here. Where all of the herds, lone horses and bands of bachelors are miles apart and have to find their way, to the herds. <><><> Now that everyone has their characters.. It Is OPEN! |

River/lone/Run away/M - no A smaller mare started walk alone a small stream and took a small drink. She just had ran from an ignorant stallion and took about an hour to loose the stupid thing. Sniffed the air and then started running again. She hated how her paint coat likes to actrack unwanted others attenction and quietly slowed down for another sniff in the air. |

Riptide | Stallion | "Hurricane" | The Duo | M: Laufey, mares ~ Riptide was squinting across the land, he thought he had spotted a few unsuspecting mares. "Oi, Loki!" He whispered to a stallion. He nodded towards the mares. "I think I see a couple mares." He waited impatiently for the other stallion's reply, pawing the ground in anticipation. We'd better be able to catch them. - Thalia | Mare | M: Laufey, Riptide, Aztec ~ Thalia grazed peacefully, checking every once and awhile for bachelors. Once, she thought she spotted two lone stallions watching them. She squinted, deciding she was just paranoid. She grazed for a little while more before checking the two stallions. They were still there. The Duo-? She huffed and moved towards Aztec. "Hey, is it just me or is that the Duo?" |

Aztec | Herd Mare | "Undefeated" | Mentions: The Duo, Thalia. - Aztec, having not eaten in two days, was grumpy. She had been on guard since the last Bachelor Attack, it was sudden, she hadn't had time to prepare. Despite her actions, she had failed to protect one of the younger mares, who had solemnly been taken by a bachelor. She triumphently trotted around the area, looking for anything of threat. Once she calmed down about being harassed in such a ridiculous manner, she gave up her watch for a minute. To eat. She called out to the herd. "Let's go! We need to find water." She said, living up to the role she had taken upon being the most dominant mare of the little band. She made a steady path to most likely, nowhere, making sure nobody was lost, or was to weak to keep up the pace, and keeping watch to make sure there would be no run-ins with bachelors. She pointed them towards a patchy area of trees, where trees were, water was. Then her head raised, she stared out the plains upon hearing Thalia. "Indeed it is." She made everyone halt, she let out an angry trumpeting neigh to the Duo. Telling them to go away, leave them alone. "If you can fight, do it." |

River/lone/Runaway/M - the herd, the Duo River came over a small hill and stopped dead in her tracks and saw The Duo, a herd, and an angry mare looking at the Duo. She slowly started backing up before anyone knowtice hopefully and kinda tripped and made a small squeal in suprise. She then gained her footing and then looked back up at them to see if they heard her. |

Laufey | Stallion | The Duo | M: Riptide, mares The red stallion stood lazily, head drooping down as he let Riptide do the searching. Laufey was particularly bored, the lack of shade only increasing his unpleasant mood. He was itching for a fight, or at the very least a chase. Anything was better than standing under the cloudless blues of the sky and being harassed by annoying biting flies. He let out a low snort at the first of Riptide’s words, though he perked up at the mention of mares. “Are you sure?” He moved to look where his companion had been searching, managing to distinguish some horse-like shapes amongst the plains. His question was answered by a challenge sounding from one of the mares, his excitement shining in his eyes. “Shall we be going?” He started towards the group at a steady pace, saving his stamina in case they ran. It would be a shame if the herd got away before they managed to try anything. |

Riptide | Stallion | "Hurricane" | The Duo | M: Laufey, mares ~ "Of course I'm sure, you idiot. I wouldn't be telling you if I wasn't sure." Riptide snapped, eyeing Loki down. He huffed and followed him as he moved off steadily. "Mhm. I'll circle around and chase 'em from the back, to spook them towards you." Riptide murmered quietly, moving away from Laufey. He stepped quietly, making sure not to make a sound. He got into position and tensed, ready to run. |

Aztec | Herd Mare | "Undefeated" | Mentions: the Duo, Herd, Thalia, River. - Aztec whinnied in anger, another attack wasn't going to be good. She reared, her blood bay body shined as the sun was nearing the horizon, her white legs pawned at the two bachelor's approach. She glanced back at Thalia and the herd. She pinned her ears as they got closer. She saw a mare from behind the two bachelors but didn't draw attention to her. she stomped and made herself bigger. She was 17.1 hh after all. But she looked like a stallion oddly enough. Her eyes fiercely placed on the bachelors who were coming to rip apart her herd. Two makes it more difficult. If I fight one, then the other can steal the mares. She reasoned with herself, but they might be tired and she didn't want to push them over their limits. She pranced in front of them, playing on to her protective stallion look. It was obvious she had been practicing this fighting dance, seeing who will back down first, she was determined to make it not be her who backs down. |

Torbjorn | Lone Bachelor | M: Herd, Duo The large stallion meandered lazily through the expanse of tall grasses, ears flicking towards the filly that ahead of him. She was a happy sight, her the normally bright markings tinged with green from the grasses. He had found her alone, terrified by her dead mother, and chosen to take her with him in hopes of leaving her with a herd. Now, months later, the pair have become close friends and he had become a fatherly mentor. The sound of angry neighs caught his attention and he hurries the filly behind him, blocking her path as they continue, though warily. Torbjorn watches as a pair of lone stallions made their way steadily towards the small band of mares. His hears pinned and he commanded rather sharply for the filly to stay put before making his way over. A steady trot starts his way, eventually kicking himself into a canter as he nears the few horses there. |

Aztec | Herd Mare | "Undefeated" | Mentions: Torbjorn, The Duo, Poko. - Aztec made an angry noise, angered by the amount of stallions who were coming her way, she whined at him. She realized his size, he wasn't much taller, but he was built for bulldozing and power. She let out a huff, then saw the filly whom he had shoved behind him before he started approaching. She kicked her hooves out, half rearing. The feeling of being cornered was powrful, she didn't have a clue, her cunning might not be helpful here. She paced in front of the herd, trying to not look in the slightest scared of who she was facing. |
