Anya gave a small chuckle when the child crawled back towards Sage, but almost leaped at him when he started hitting the him in the face. Sage was never very good at getting to sleep, she’d noticed, and if he did get to sleep then it never lasted very long. It was a shame really… even now, when he was out of the slums, when he slept he looked so much younger. Well, not younger but more his age. He did have one of those faces where he could be in his late teens or mid twenties, and you’d really never be able to guess unless he told you. So when Atticus started pestering the boy to play, she really just felt her heart ache for him a little. The both of them really. Sage definitely spoilt the boy, mainly because he could, she supposed, and Att seemed to be enjoying it. Well, he had every right to after what he’d been through, but Sage still needed to sleep. Her worried expression became a little more at ease when Sage pulled the boy in. Anya flopped her head down on the pillow not too far, and tried to distract the baby from pretty much eating the blanket by playing a little game of peek-a-boo with him, getting small giggles and squeals out of the boy whenever she made a silly face of sorts.

Sage was dimly aware of Atts giggles, though if he was laughing and still cuddled in with him, he was fine and definitely wasn't getting into trouble, so he was fine with going back to sleep. He assumed Anya had probably come in, since the boy hadn't pestered him to feed him someone had to do it and he highly doubted it was anyone else. But he was too tired to think about it much...if the boy was laughing and safe, then he could sleep. He'd noticed if the boy crawled away probably, but if Anya was there she'd stay and make sure the boy would be fine anyway...she knew he didn't really sleep, and he knew she liked the boy enough to play with him for a bit. So he could let himself slip into a deeper sleep and actually try to get some rest. Though, almost an hour later, when he woke up from a nightmare, he slightly regretted letting himself sleep for so long.

Anya played with the baby for about half an hour before the little guy drifted off again. The boy seemed to go through being awake and really buzzy, or flat out asleep… the first one being more of a common sight. Even so, she sat there for a little while before looking towards Sage’s side table and picked up whatever he was reading… she could skim through it for a little while, she supposed. After about a quarter of an hour, she felt the bed shift slightly and saw the boys eyes flutter open. “Morning,” she whispered gently to the boy, though she wasn’t quite sure if he was awake enough to hear her just yet. Still, she offered a sweet smile before looking back into the book, just leaving the boy to wake himself up a bit more.

Sage heard Anyas greeting, and looked over at Att, who had fallen back asleep before yawning and crawling over to the girl so he could rest his head on her lap and curl up against her in a way she should still read the book. He murmured a type of good morning to the girl, and was silent for a moment before opening his eyes again and looking up at her. "You wanna read out loud," he whispered almost a bit shyly. But she'd done it before...and he'd been too tired to read it even though he did want to know what happened.

Anya smiled softly when the boy crawled over to her, and a light chuckle escaped her when he curled into her lap. His little request, that really came out almost shyly, did amuse, but she was of course more than happy to read to him. She always was, so she wasn't sure why he sounded so hesitant about asking. "Sure," she murmured quietly before wrapping an arm around his side and kind of sinking back into the bed. She flipped back a few pages back before quietly starting to read through the pages. It was another adventure book, though this one was a little bit more fantasy based. Though, she could definitely see how it was appealing... it was interesting to say the least.

Sage grinned up at the girl tiredly, curling up in her lap again and closing his eyes as she read. It was nice...hearing her voice quietly swirl around the room as he woke up, and of course getting to cuddle up like this. She was always more than willing to cuddle up, read out loud, really do anything he asked of her, and he knew he'd do anything for the girl too. And, of course, the book was pretty good, do it was a nice way to figure out what all happened in it. He enjoyed the stories, but they were often so hard to read it sapped all the fun out of it, especially when he was tired. But the girl reading it out loud was a nice way to relax, and he could steal some cuddles out of it, which was even better.

Anya read for a little while, really getting into the book though trying to keep her voice low enough so that her voice wouldn't just become annoying to him, especially considering he was still half awake. After a bit, she heard a soft coo of complain from the baby, who by now was reaching his hands out to be picked up. Anya paused for a moment before giving a light smile and scooped the boy in to her arms so that she pretty much had Sage hugging into her torso and Atticus in the other. She eventually started to read up again, though it was a little bit slower now.

Sage smiled when the girl scooped Att up without a second thought. She really had grown to like the boy, which was a good thing, since he knew she wasn't all that comfortable with the idea at first. Admittedly, the girl probably wasn't all that comfortable;e with a lot of the more reckless things he did, but that never stopped her from loving him, which seemed to make it all the more wonderful. He reached over to pat the boy, and little Att wrapped his hands around his pointer finger before settling down again. He was such a sweet boy...if he could have kept him, he absolutely would, but he just didn't have the life to be able to do that. But he had him for now, and he wanted to make the best out of it.

Anya gave a soft smile as Sage shifted to pat the boy. She really did like Att... he was cute, and really for a child his age he wasn't too much work, not at all. She knew he kept Sage up at night, but she would make sure he knew she could take over any time he felt like he was getting too much. She had told herself that she wouldn't have anything to do with the baby when he first got to the castle, that he was Sage's issue and she wasn't going to get involved with him unless she had to. Now, though, she was pretty much ti the child, and was more than happy to look after him if need be... he made Sage happy, and the boy loved him, too, so the least she could do was try and be around him.

Sage was more than content to lay around for a while as Anya read...it was almost an hour, really, before Att woke up again with the little whine that meant he was hungry, so Sage smiled softly and slid off of Anyas lap to grab the boy and prop him up on his hip to feed the lad. Once he'd grabbed a bottle and gotten Att drinking, he sat back down next to Anya, a bit more awake now that he'd rested for a while. She could keep reading if she wanted, though she didn't have to of course.
